SEAT HEADREST

A seat headrest comprising: a headrest frame (11) having: a lower frame part (12) configured to be attached to a seat back; an upper frame part (14) pivotally attached to the lower frame part to be moveable between a fully open position and a folded position; a pivot arm (50) connected at a first end (51) to the upper frame part and pivotally connected at a second end (52) to the lower frame part; and a locking mechanism (40) to releasably lock the upper frame part relative to the lower frame part in the fully open position; wherein the locking mechanism comprises a shaft (42) extending through the pivot arm and the lower frame part to define a pivot axis about which the pivot arm pivots relative to the lower frame part, and wherein the locking mechanism further comprises a locking pin (41) configured to extend through the lower frame part, the pivot arm and the upper frame part to lock the pivot arm and upper frame part with respect to the lower frame part when the upper frame part is in a first, fully open, position relative to the lower frame part, and wherein actuation of the locking mechanism by a pushing action of a user causes movement of the locking pin out of engagement with the pivot arm and the upper frame part to permit pivotal movement of the arm relative to the lower frame part about the pivot axis.

A vehicle head restraint assembly includes a base portion coupleable to a vehicle seat back, the base portion including a cross member portion. Also included is a head restraint operatively coupled to the cross member portion and rotatable about the cross member portion. Further included is a helical drive assembly for translating the head restraint during rotation of the head restraint.

Head rest of an upward swing adjustment type

A head rest that can secure backward view when it is not used, and enable adjustment of its front-and-rear position in use. The head rest is rotatable from a rearmost position to a stored position in which the head rest is tilted down forward. When the head rest is in a use range from the rearmost position to a forward adjustment limit position located in front, the tilting angle of the head rest is adjustable, and the head rest can be rotated forward to the stored position and rotated backward to the rearmost position. By contrast, when the head rest is in the stored position, forward rotation and backward rotation of the head rest are regulated, and the head rest can be rotated backward to the rearmost position.

A head rest is provided that can secure backward view when it is not used, and enable adjustment of its front-and-rear position in use. A head rest is rotatable from a rearmost position to a stored position in which the head rest is tilted down forward. When the head rest is in a use range from the rearmost position to a forward adjustment limit position located in front, the tilting angle of the head rest is adjustable with in-use tilting-angle adjustment means, and the head rest can be rotated forward to the stored position and rotated backward to the rearmost position with unlock means. By contrast, when the head rest is in the stored position, forward rotation and backward rotation of the head rest are regulated with storage backward rotation regulating means, and the head rest can be rotated backward to the rearmost position with unlock means.

FOUR-WAY RATCHETING VEHICLE HEAD RESTRAINT ASSEMBLY

A head restraint assembly includes a base, a head restraint having a housing, and an internal cavity at least partially defined by the housing. Also included is a lock mechanism assembly disposed within the internal cavity, the lock mechanism assembly comprising a first lock member and a second lock member, the first lock member including a plurality of teeth and the second lock member including a single lock tooth, wherein the plurality of teeth and the single lock tooth are engageable with each other and selectively rotatable with respect to each other. Further included is an actuator arm engaged with the second lock member, actuation of the actuator arm required to selectively permit rotation of the second lock member relative to the first lock member in one direction, wherein disengagement of the plurality of teeth and the single lock tooth is not required to rotate in another direction.

Headrest Moving Device

A headrest moving device, wherein a lever member, which is connected to the seat or the headrest in a pivoted state, presses the pawl, thereby releasing the engagement between the pawl and the ratchet. A consumer can release the locking at any position by operating a lever member externally protruded from the headrest after the consumer has moved the headrest. The method of releasing the locking can be easily recognized by the consumer, therefore the consumer can effectively and easily utilize the headrest moving device.

A head restraint allows adjustment of the angle of inclination of a support structure relative to a holding structure, in particular a holding bar.

Headrest dump assembly integrated into a seatback
09573499 · 2017-02-21 · ·

A headrest assembly having a bracket mount affixed to an upper portion of a seatback frame and at least one headrest bun supporting tube pivotally secured to the bracket mount. A spring biased cam is pivotally secured to the bracket mount and, in a normally biased position, engages an underside projection of a selected one of the supporting tubes, the cam also having an outwardly projecting pin. At least one wheel shaped component is rotatably mounted to an exterior of the bracket mount in proximity to the cam, the wheel having an outer circumferential location which, upon being rotated, contacts the projecting pin causing the cam to pivot in a downward unseating direction from the supporting tube, triggering release of the headrest and supporting tubes in a forwardly rotating and dump position.

FOLDING HEAD RESTRAINT MECHANISM

A mechanism for folding a head restraint for a backrest of a seat, including a head restraint and a cross portion, where the cross portion is fixed relative to the backrest. The cross portion defines a first pivot axis, which the head restraint is pivoted about. The cross portion includes a locking disc. The head restraint comprises a cam that pivots about a second pivot axis. The head restraint is configured to be positioned in a usage-position relative to the cross portion and a storage-position relative to the cross portion. The position of the head restraint is changeable between the usage-position and the storage-position by pivoting about the first pivot axis. The cam is configured to be positioned in a locking-position and a releasing-position relative to the head restraint.
