A seat including a seat portion, a backrest, and a headrest attached to a structure of the backrest. The headrest includes a head cushion attached to the backrest by at least one headrest arm; the arm is hingedly attached to the backrest structure by a pivot link with a transverse axis; the head cushion is hinged to the arm by a pivot link with a transverse axis. Moreover, the first axis is situated at a rear face of a structural part of the backrest; the second axis is situated close to the bottom edge of the head cushion; in the lowered position, the arm holds the head cushion bearing against the front face of the backrest; in the raised position, the arm holds the head cushion above and in front of the lowered position.

A headrest for a motor vehicle, including a base part for attachment to a backrest of a vehicle seat, a head part for contact with a head of a vehicle occupant, and an adjusting device between the base part and the head part for causing a substantially linear adjustment of the head part between a minimum and a maximum position. The adjusting device has an intermediate part and several pivot levers which pivot synchronously during adjustment and form a first articulated parallelogram between the head part and intermediate part and a second articulated parallelogram between the intermediate part and base part. A headrest has a mount fixable on a vehicle seat, a head support, first and second links each having one end pivoted on the mount and an opposite end pivoted on the head support for movement of the head support relative to the mount forward toward a head of a user in the seat and rearward away from the head of the user. The invention relates to a headrest with a base (13), with which the headrest (10) is mountable to a seat, with a head piece (11) as an abutment for a head, with a parallelogrammatic linkage, including a first link and at least one second link arranged therebehind in the direction of displacement, wherein each link forms at least one pivot with the base and at least one pivot with the head piece, such that the head piece is moveable between a first end position and a second end position, by means of the parallelogrammatic linkage, relative to the base.

The particularity of the invention consists in that the relative position between one of the links and the head piece or the base is alterable and/or arrestable with at least one adjusting element.

An embodiment vehicle seat includes a seatback configured to support an occupant's upper body, the seatback including an upper seatback part and a lower seatback part, wherein the upper seatback part includes a tilting part pivotably hinged onto the lower seatback part so as to be tiltable forward and backward with respect to the lower seatback part as the upper seatback part is pivoted forward and backward about the lower seatback part, and a tilting device configured to tilt the tilting part forward and backward in conjunction with a reclining operation of the seatback, wherein the tilting device is configured to tilt the tilting part forward in conjunction with a backward reclining operation of the seatback.
