For example, a dump truck load diverter is disclosed which includes a diverter body having a tetrahedral-esque form factor defined by four primary faces and a plurality of chamfer faces, the four primary faces consisting of a primary diverting face, a pair of secondary diverting faces and a base face, the pair of secondary diverting faces being arranged perpendicularly to each other and to the base face. The diverter body may be sized relative to a bed of a dump truck to obstruct a substantial portion of a dump passage area when positioned in one of a plurality of load spreading configurations.

The present invention is in the form of a body (111) adapted to be fitted to a truck having at least two axles. The body is capable of tipping once fitted to the truck. The body comprises two side surfaces (13) interconnected by a longitudinal surface (21) to keep the side surfaces in spaced apart relation. The longitudinal surface and the side surface define a cavity (30) for receiving a payload. The longitudinal surface is configured such that the payload is self-centering as the body is loaded, such that in operation the distribution of load on each of the at least two axles remain substantially the same between a first payload having a first volume and a second payload having a second volume, neither payload resulting in the gross vehicle weight limit being exceeded.

Improvements To Truck Bodies

A truck body is disclosed which is able to be mounted to a truck in such a way that the truck body can pivot relative to the truck between a lowered, travel orientation and a raised, dumping orientation. The truck body has a material carrying region, and the material carrying region has: a floor surface, and a curved transition (“the floor-to-front-wall-transition”) between the floor surface and a surface forming a front wall portion of the material carrying region. The radius of curvature of at least a portion of the floor-to-front-wall-transition is two meters or greater, which may help to reduce material carry-back.

A heating channel for a front wall of a dump body comprises an exhaust inlet provided on the front wall; an exhaust outlet provided on the front wall; and a channel body running continuously from the exhaust inlet to the exhaust outlet. The channel body can have at least one horizontally extending portion and at least one vertically extending portion in a front view of the front wall. The exhaust inlet can be configured to receive exhaust gas output from an internal combustion engine, and the exhaust outlet can be configured to output the received exhaust gas to outside the heating channel.
