20230010694 · 2023-01-12 ·

A quick-release fitting for lockingly engaging between two inwardly-directed lips of a track may comprise two resilient plates that are spreadable via a blade moved between raised/disengaged and lowered/engaged positions via a four-bar linkage mechanism. The lower edges of the plates may comprise flanges that extend at angles corresponding to the angles of the undersides of the inwardly-directed lips. To concentrate contact forces between the fitting and the track, and reduce a spreading force on the track, the plates may include a neck region immediately above the flanges. The quick-release fitting may also include a roller assembly allowing the structure being supported by the fitting to be tilted rearward and moved. The roller assembly may include features to keep the quick-release fitting aligned with the track when moved.

The anchor sections 120 are generally adapted to be vertically aligned in installation and include at least two spaced anchor points 122. Each anchor section 120 and each pair of anchor points 122 are each adapted to align with one of the vehicle structural substrates 7. The anchor sections 120 are preferably formed as a continuous unitary piece with the first member 110. The anchor sections 120 each include an outer anchor point 126 at or near the outer end 124. The outer anchor point 126 is spaced from both the first member 110 and an internal anchor point 114 located on or in the first member 110.

The second anchoring mechanism includes a second bar, a second set of seat track anchors, and a second set of adjustable strap anchors. The second bar extends between the second set of seat track anchors and is secured thereto. The second set of adjustable strap anchors is secured to the second bar, and the second set of adjustable strap anchors is configured to be securable to the wheelchair.

TRANSPORT SYSTEM

A transport system for transporting a vehicle body at a manufacturing plant is provided. The transport system includes a guide rail attached to a floor of a trailer of a truck and includes a pair of elongated channels defining an elongated passage therebetween. The transport system further includes a carriage adapted to support the vehicle body and configured to facilitate a transfer of the vehicle body to the trailer. The carriage includes at least one guide pin configured to engage with the guide rail and adapted to be arranged inside the elongated passage. The at least one guide pin guides a movement of the carriage along the guide rail.

MOTORIZED HORIZONTAL SUPPORT SYSTEM

A motorized horizontal support system may include first and second vertical tracks that are configured to be installed upon opposing walls of a cargo compartment; first and second brackets that each slide along the respective first and second vertical tracks; a horizontal support disposed between and fixed with respect to the first and second brackets, where the horizontal support includes a first inner passageway extending along a length of the horizontal support; a first balance cable extending through the first inner passageway of the horizontal support; a motor operatively engaged with the second bracket, where operation of the motor may cause the first and second brackets to slide upwardly or downwardly along the respective first and second vertical tracks; and a controller with user input capability that may selectively control the operation of the motor.

Bungee Belt
20220400840 · 2022-12-22 · ·

Truckers use bungee cords or tarp straps to secure tarps, canvases, and loads on the backs of flatbed trucks and trailers. In some cases, it may take dozens of bungee cords to secure a tarp over the load on a standard flatbed trailer. A bungee belt makes it faster and easier for a trucker to secure a tarp over a load on a flatbed trailer. A bungee belt has belt loops with openings for holding 30 or more bungee cords, allowing the trucker to carry all of the bungee cords for securing a tarp while leaving his or her hands free. The hooks at the ends of the bungee cords fit into the loops, keeping the bungee cords secure while the trucker is wearing the belt. The trucker can remove the bungee cords from the belt one at a time while walking around the flatbed and securing the tarp to the load.
