Visibility enhancements for delivery vehicle
A vehicle includes a chassis defining a longitudinal axis, a cab coupled to the chassis, a cargo body coupled to the chassis and positioned rearward of the cab, and a driver seat disposed within the cab. The cab has a first door with a first window and a second door with a second window. When the driver seat is in a position that accommodates an operator being in the 95.sup.th male height percentile, the operator within the driver seat can see out of (i) the first window at a first angle relative to a forward looking direction that is parallel with the longitudinal axis and (ii) the second window at a second angle relative to the forward looking direction. Each of the first angle and the second angle is at least 95 degrees.
RACK OR CROSS-BAR MOUNTED SUPPORT STRUCTURE FOR BICYCLES AND/OR OTHER ACCESSORIES
According to some illustrative embodiments, novel support structure is provided that can be used, for example, to mount bicycles or other accessories on vehicle racks employing a flush configuration that facilitates use and operation of tents or the like. In some illustrative embodiments, an assembly for supporting bicycles or other accessories on vehicles is provided that includes: a) at least one rack or cross-bar mountable support member having a top wall with a length of between about 2 inches to 24 inches and a width of between about 1 inch to 6 inches; b) the top wall having an over-hang section configured to extend over at least a portion of a top surface of a rack or cross-bar, a top surface of the top wall extending not more than 13 inch higher than the top surface of the rack or cross-bar such as to be substantially flush with the top surface of the rack or cross-bar; and c) the over-hang section having at least one through-hole for receiving a bolt or other connecting member that is fixable to the rack or cross-bar.
BASEPLATE MOUNTING SYSTEM WITH LOCKING MECHANISM
An accessory attachment system includes a baseplate that provides an attachment interface on a support surface. The baseplate is configured to engage with at least one accessory via the attachment interface to secure the accessory to the support surface. The attachment interface provides a plurality of different mounting positions for the at least one accessory. At least one mounting foot is associated with the at least one accessory and is configured to be selectively coupled to the attachment interface to provide a desired one of the plurality of different mounting positions. The at least one mounting foot includes an adjustment feature to account for any warpage of the support surface when the at least one accessory is mounted in the desired one of the plurality of different mounting positions.
MODULAR TRUCK BED RACK SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODS
A rack system for a vehicle and method of operating same includes an upright support bracket and a stability bracket. The upright support bracket has upper and lower portions with the upper portion having a bracket body and a bracket channel, and the lower portion configured to removably attach to the vehicle. The stability bracket has a shelf projection and a bracket base. The shelf projection extends from the bracket base and has a shelf bottom. The bracket base of the stability bracket is configured to be removably secure to the bracket body of the upright support bracket within the bracket channel of the upright support bracket in a predetermined position such that the shelf bottom is configured to support a mounting bar thereon.
VISIBILITY ENHANCEMENTS FOR DELIVERY VEHICLE
A vehicle assembly includes a vehicle body and a driver seat. The vehicle body defines a driver compartment having a first door with a first window and a second door with a second window. The driver seat is disposed within the driver compartment. When the driver seat is in a position that accommodates an operator being in a 95.sup.th male height percentile, the operator within the driver seat can see out of (i) the first window at a first angle relative to a forward looking direction that is parallel with a longitudinal axis of the vehicle body and (ii) the second window at a second angle relative to the forward looking direction. Each of the first angle and the second angle is at least 95 degrees.
Multipurpose rail system
A multipurpose rail system is described. Embodiments of the multipurpose rail system can include, but is not limited to, one or more rails and one or more accessories configured to removably couple to the one or more rails. The one or more rails are configured to be secured to a variety of different objects and provide a means for attaching an accessory proximate the object. For instance, a rail may be coupled to a side of a recreational vehicle so that kitchen accessories may be removably secured to the side of the recreational vehicle.
CONFIGURABLE TRAILER
A configurable trailer system which includes a chassis supported by one or more axles and any combination of an enclosed trailer, a camper, a livestock trailer, a dump bed and an open-sided trailer. The chassis includes a support surface and, at corners of the support surface, a plurality of locks. Each of the enclosed trailer, camper, livestock trailer, dump bed and open-sided trailer includes a plurality of corner castings configured to selectively and securely couple with the locks. A method for configuring the trailer system includes placing a first one of an enclosed trailer, a camper, a livestock trailer, a dump bed and an open-sided trailer on the chassis and locking to the chassis by engaging the locks with corner castings provided to corners of the first one of the enclosed trailer, camper, livestock trailer, dump bed and open-sided trailer.
Slide out pump stand for hydraulic fracturing equipment
A hydraulic fracturing system has a pump driven by an electrically powered motor. The pump pressurizes fluid which is piped into a wellbore to fracture a subterranean formation. The pump and motor are mounted on a trailer that is hitched to a tractor. A platform assembly is mounted onto the trailer, and which is selectively moveable between deployed and stowed configurations. The platform assembly includes a platform, a lateral rail assembly mounted to the platform, and gates on the forward and aft ends of the platform. The rail assembly and gates define a safety barrier to prevent operations personnel from falling off the platform. In the stowed configuration the platform assembly is anchored in place over wheels on the trailer. In the deployed configuration, the platform assembly provides work surface so that operations personnel can readily access the pump on the trailer.
Moveable Saddle Rack
A moveable saddle rack that may be laterally translatable across a trailer, vertically translatable to facilitate user access to an upper saddle seat of the saddle rack, or both laterally translatable and vertically translatable.
RACK SYSTEM FOR A COMMERCIAL VEHICLE AND COMMERCIAL VEHICLE
A rack system for a commercial vehicle including at least one guide rail fixable to at least one vehicle structure of the commercial vehicle within a rear storage compartment of the commercial vehicle. To provide a more efficient way of offering rack space to get a better trade-off between the amount of racks and space for other items, to maximize the utilization rate of the rear storage compartment, the rack system comprises at least two racks slidingly supported by the guide rail back and forth in a lateral or longitudinal direction of the commercial vehicle and arranged in series to each other with respect to the guide rail.
