TENSIONING DEVICE

A tensioning device includes a housing, a drive member, a driven member, and a cable member. The housing includes an attachment feature. The drive member is rotatably coupled with the housing. The driven member is disposed in the housing and is operably coupled with the drive member. The cable member is coupled with the driven member. The driven member is slidably coupled with the housing such that the driven member and the cable member are slidable together between a retracted position and an extended position in response to rotation of the drive member.

Bone plate system and method

A bone plate system for securing a plurality of bones is provided including a plate member, a locking device of the bone plate, and a surgical cable having a trailing end for being connected to the bone plate and a leading end for being advanced around the bones and into the locking device. The surgical cable may be tensioned to approximate the bones, urge the bones together, and seat the bone plate against the bones. The locking device may be reconfigured to a locked configuration to fix the bone plate to the surgical cable. The bone plate further includes a plurality of throughbores for receiving bone anchors that rigidly fix the bone plate to the bones. The bone plate system utilizes the tensile strength of the surgical cable and the rigid fixation between the bone anchors and the bone plate to resist relative movement of the bones.

Tie Down Strap System

A tie-down secures a load onto a vehicle. The tie-down has a pivot, a winch, and an anchor. The pivot has a pin, a rotatable sleeve, a cap, and a base. The pin can be either a solid bar, or an annular tube. The winch is attached to the sleeve. The winch has a U-shaped frame comprising two flanges and a wall interconnecting the flanges. The wall is parallel with and attached to the sleeve. The anchor is attached to the base of the pivot. The anchor can be a solid bar, or C-shaped, or two channels sandwiching part of the pin, or annular. The vehicle has a support surface for supporting the load, and a plurality of the tie-downs. The anchor is either attached to the support surface, or, when the vehicle has stake pockets, is removably mountable within a stake pocket.

A truck deck includes a floor that defines a cargo area on a top surface. The deck also includes a pocket disposed in the floor. The pocket defines a space disposed below the floor and a pocket opening. The deck further includes a selectively openable and closable pocket cover movable between an open position and a closed position. The pocket cover is disposed to cover the pocket in the closed position. The deck also includes a tie-down device disposed in the pocket. The tie-down device includes an attachment device, an adjustment device, and an elongated strap having an attachment end that is attached to the attachment device configured for attachment to a cargo, and an adjustment end that is attached to the adjustment device. The tie-down device is configured to adjust the length of the strap and apply a downward tensioning force to the cargo.

Load binder systems

A binder includes a right angle drive including a driving gear interfacing with a driven gear. A receptacle arranged substantially at a center of a diameter of the driving gear can receive a bit of a power driver. The bit of the power driver removeably received by the receptacle arranged at the center of the driving gear can rotate a threaded gear tube relative to the first and second threaded rods to linearly displace the first and second threaded rods of the binder to tension a tensionable load bearing member and lock the binder.

Anti-slip safety tensioning device for automobile

An anti-slip safety tensioning device for automobile, comprises a driving handle assembly, an eccentric shaft, a support assembly, a long band and a short band; wherein, the driving handle assembly is located between a pair of support lateral plates of the support assembly, and can be rotatable relative to the eccentric shaft; and when the driving handle assembly is folded, the eccentric shaft is located on a rear side of the top shaft and the eccentric bulge of the eccentric shaft faces the top shaft; the long band having a free end wrapped around the eccentric shaft, and the free end passes through the gap between the eccentric shaft and the top shaft. When in unfolded state, there is a largest gap between the top shaft and the eccentric shaft.

SMA actuated restraint assembly

A restraint assembly includes a base member, a pawl, a lock member, and an actuator assembly. The base member has a first side plate spaced apart from a second side plate.
