A pair of insertion portions each having a through hole through which a lashing belt is inserted and extends are arranged at a predetermined distance from each other, and coupled to each other with coupling portions. A tension detecting portion is provided at the coupling portions. The tension detecting portion extends, at a predetermined vertical distance from a line connecting the through holes of the pair of insertion portions to each other, in a width direction of the lashing belt. In a state where the lashing belt is inserted to extend through the pair of insertion portions, a surface of the lashing belt is brought into contact with the tension detecting portion, and the tension detecting portion is configured to be broken when a predetermined or greater tension is applied to the lashing belt.

Tension monitoring and signaling system

An automatic tension sensing and control system for cargo restraints comprises a load binder, a tension sensor, an actuator coupled to the load binder, and a control module. The control module receives signals from the sensor and can command the actuator to tighten or slacken the load binder. The system can also include an annunciator and an information storage and retrieval system.

Automated, wireless, cargo restraint tension control and monitoring system

A cargo restraint system includes a body, a first connecting end and a second connecting end on opposing sides of the body, wherein the first and second connecting ends are coupled to a securing member which is used to restrain the cargo. One or more load sensors are coupled to the first connecting end and/or the second connecting end. A controller is coupled to the one or more load sensors. The controller is configured to receive tension information from the one or more load sensors. The controller includes a transmitter capable of transmitting the tension information to a remote device. The controller may include a database to store the information.

Resilient Strap Member
20190077295 · 2019-03-14 · ·

A restraint assembly includes at least one strap and a resilient member having two ends. One of the ends is coupled to the strap such that the resilient member is in line with the strap and provides a resilient link within the restraint assembly. A limiter has at least two ends, each of the ends of the limiter being coupled to the restraint assembly. The limiter is longer than the resilient member when the resilient member is in an un-stretched position, such that the limiter prevents the resilient member from exceeding a maximum predetermined length when the restraint assembly is stretched into a taut condition.

Device and method for documenting the tension in a tensioning belt
10227031 · 2019-03-12 · ·

A device for measuring the tension in a tensioning belt comprises a retaining device for retaining a spring element, an elastically deformable spring element that is retained by the retaining device and on which a section of the tensioning belt can apply a force and elastically deform the spring element, the ends of the spring element being moved closer to one another when the tensioning force increases, and an electronic sensor unit. The sensor unit comprises a sensor system that measures the deflection of the spring element and generates a data signal, and a transmitter for transmitting the data signal to a receiving unit. The sensor system is situated at the ends of the spring element. The sensor unit may also be used for documenting the measured values of the tension.

A device and method are disclosed for sensing the tension of a securing member and generating a signal indicative of a loose securing member when the tension of the securing member drops below a threshold level. The device can further include features for detection of tampering with either the device itself or the tensioning members.

POWERED CARGO TENSIONING DEVICE

The powered cargo tensioning device may allow a user to secure a cargo using a mechanically powered and monitored force. Such a solution may comprise, for example, a motorized winch or pulley connected to a strap and a second attachment point to which a sender attached to the strap may be received. The winch or pulley may apply a tightening force to the strap that is controlled by a user but may utilize an amount of force in excess of which the user could normally apply. The device may further comprise a locking mechanism to prevent unwanted loosening of the strap, and may further comprise an alarm that notifies the user of unexpected loosening of the device. The device may further comprise a wireless controller or a dedicated software application for ease of use.
