A light emitting drive device has an output voltage supply unit, and an emergency drive unit. The output voltage supply unit generates an output voltage from an input voltage on the basis of a control signal transmitted from a control unit, and supplies at least one light emitting element with the output voltage. In the cases where the emergency drive unit received a signal indicating abnormality of the control unit, the emergency drive unit lights the whole or a part of the at least one light emitting element irrespective of the control signal transmitted from the control unit.

ELECTRICAL POWER SUPPLY FOR A LIGHTING DEVICE OF AN AUTOMOBILE VEHICLE COMPRISING A PLURALITY OF OUTPUTS

A device that provides a circuit for controlling the power supply of a plurality of groups of light sources, preferably of the light-emitting diodes type, which perform a plurality of lighting functions for an automobile vehicle. The device is noteworthy in that it enables a primary output voltage and several high-voltage secondary outputs to be produced, corresponding to the power supply requirements of the various groups of light sources, with the use of a single switch-mode converter circuit.

Also provided are a vehicle lamp condenser of the illumination structure, an automobile illumination module comprising the vehicle lamp condenser, an automobile illumination apparatus comprising the automobile illumination module, and an automobile comprising the automobile illumination apparatus.

VEHICULAR LAMP

An automotive lamp includes a variable light distribution lamp and a controller. When a first light distribution pattern is to be changed to a second light distribution pattern, and when a difference in the number of shaded portions between the first light distribution pattern and the second light distribution pattern is one, the controller switches a control method for gradually changing the light distribution pattern according to a position relation between the shaded portions included in the first light distribution pattern and the shaded portions included in the second light distribution pattern.

LED headlamp with daytime running lamp

Improved light emitting diode (LED) vehicle headlamps having a dedicated daytime running lamp (DRL) component are described. In various embodiments, a combination Low Beam/DRL headlamp is provided, which uses pulse width modulation (PWM) detection to determine which of the two internal LED light sources (Low Beam or DRL) is powered on. If the Low Beam/DRL headlamp detects a PWM signal on the Low Beam voltage input then it switches to drive the DRL LEDs. If, alternatively, it detects a steady state input voltage then it switches to drive the Low Beam LEDs.

A light-emitting element driving device includes a setter and first to nth constant current sources. An ith series circuit is a series circuit of an ith light-emitting element string and the ith constant current source. The ith constant current source is turned on and off with a delay from an ith dimming signal indicating either lighting or extinction of the ith light-emitting element string. The setter has a mode in which it sets the target value of an output voltage fed to the respective anodes of the first to nth series circuits at a value at which the jth light-emitting element string can be lit during the period from a first time point that a jth dimming signal switches from indicating extinction of the jth light-emitting element string to indicating its lighting to a second time point that the jth constant current source switches from off to on.

LIGHT SOURCE MODULE

A light source module is switchable between a high beam and a low beam, and is mounted on a vehicle. A first light source is arranged such that its output light is irradiated to a low-beam region by a first optical system. A second light source is arranged such that its output light is irradiated to a high-beam region by a second optical system. A lighting circuit supplies a driving current to the first light source in response to a turn-on instruction for either the high beam or the low beam. Furthermore, the lighting circuit supplies the output current to the second light source in response to a turn-on instruction for the high beam.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS UTILIZING A VEHICLE FOR DETECTING AND RESPONDING TO A POWER OUTAGE
20220159814 · 2022-05-19 · ·

The disclosure provides systems and methods for detecting and responding to a power outage. The methods use sensors of vehicles to detect an indication of a power outage. Once the power outage is validated, the lighting systems of the vehicles are used to illuminate locations so that pedestrians can walk along sidewalks or through parking garages. For example, the vehicles can be arranged to provide lighting at selected locations.
