A light-emitting element driving device includes a setter and first to nth constant current sources. An ith series circuit is a series circuit of an ith light-emitting element string and the ith constant current source. The ith constant current source is turned on and off with a delay from an ith dimming signal indicating either lighting or extinction of the ith light-emitting element string. The setter has a mode in which it sets the target value of an output voltage fed to the respective anodes of the first to nth series circuits at a value at which the jth light-emitting element string can be lit during the period from a first time point that a jth dimming signal switches from indicating extinction of the jth light-emitting element string to indicating its lighting to a second time point that the jth constant current source switches from off to on.

The present disclosure provides a high-precision dimming circuit. A dimming circuit (107) includes an input stage (IN) and an output stage (OUT). The input stage (IN) includes a plurality of amplifiers (AMP1 to AMP3) which have non-inverted input terminals (+) thereof inputted with different dimming input voltages (DCDIM1, DCDIM2 and VH), respectively, and inverted input terminals (−) thereof inputted with a common dimming output voltage (V3). The output stage (OUT) is connected between respective output terminals of the plurality of amplifiers (AMP 1 to AMP3) and an output node of the diming output voltage (V3), and outputs, among the plurality of dimming input voltages (DCDIM1, DCDIM2 and VH) respectively inputted to the plurality of amplifiers (AMP1 to AMP3), a lowest voltage as the dimming output voltage (V3).

Vehicle front lighting apparatus and disconnection detection method

A vehicle front lighting apparatus includes a lighting device array in which multiple lighting devices are connected in series, multiple bypass circuits, multiple switch elements, a lighting intensity detector, a lighting schedule generator, a lighting controller, a current value detector, a voltage value controller, a detector, and a disconnection determiner. When there is the switch element to be brought into a closed state during a prohibition period from a lighting timing to a post-lighting timing, the lighting schedule generator changes a timing at which the switch element is brought into the closed state outside the prohibition period. The disconnection determiner determines that a disconnection has occurred in any of the bypass circuits when the number of switch elements detected at the post-lighting timing does not match a voltage value.
