HELMET LIGHTING SYSTEM AND RELATED METHOD FOR MONITORING VEHICLE STATUS
A method for monitoring a vehicle status includes detecting a status of the vehicle, a helmet for the vehicle, or a component of the vehicle. A signal is transmitted wirelessly to a portable handheld device providing the notification to the user of the status of the vehicle, helmet, or vehicle component. Vehicle safety notifications and other information may also be relayed to the user through a software application operating on the handheld device.
Advanced warning lighting systems and methods
An advanced warning light system of the present disclosure has a controller area network (CAN) bus for transmitting messages and at least one controller that monitors operations of a motorcycle, the at least one controller further transmits a message on the CAN bus when a monitored operation occurs on the motorcycle, the message having data indicating that the vehicle is slowing down. The system further has a processor that receives the message from the CAN bus indicating that the vehicle is slowing down, the processor further illuminates an advanced warning light on a back of a helmet being worn by a rider to indicate to a driver following the motorcycle that the motorcycle is slowing down.

MCU; a head angle indicator electrically connected to the MCU; and a rechargeable battery.
VEHICLE SIGNALING APPARATUS
An apparatus for use by a driver of a vehicle that has turn signals and a brake signal is described. Display circuitry includes lights, and can be supported by the driver while the driver is operating the vehicle. Base circuitry is in wireless communication with the display circuitry, can detect activation of the turn signals and the brake signal, and includes movement sensors. The apparatus can activate the lights in response to activation of the turn signals and the brake signal. In addition, the base circuitry can broadcast an accident alarm in response to detection of movement of the vehicle suggestive of a traffic accident.
Systems, apparatus, and methods for signaling sudden deceleration
Apparatus and methods for indicating sudden deceleration may involve modifying a vehicle brake lighting system with a support frame supporting a deceleration sensor, microcontroller, an energy storage component, and power circuitry. A portable deceleration warning system includes a portable sensor unit with an accelerometer, a transmitter, a power supply, and a microprocessor, and at least one portable illumination unit with a light emitter, a receiver, and a power supply. The portable sensor unit mounts reversibly to a vehicle and the portable illumination unit can be worn by an operator or passenger of the vehicle or be temporarily attached to the vehicle.
Processor and processing method for rider-assistance system of straddle-type vehicle, rider-assistance system of straddle-type vehicle, and straddle-type vehicle
The present invention obtains a processor and a processing method, a rider-assistance system, and a straddle-type vehicle capable of improving a rider's safety. A processor (20) includes: an acquisition section that acquires surrounding environment information about straddle-type vehicle (100); a determination section that determines necessity of assistance operation executed by the rider-assistance system (1) to assist with the rider's operation; and a control section that makes an execution device (P) execute the assistance operation in the case where the determination section determines that the assistance operation is necessary. The determination section determines the necessity of the assistance operation by using a rear index value, which is an index value depending on information on the surrounding environment at the rear and is an index value of a collision possibility of an object located behind the straddle-type vehicle (100) against the straddle-type vehicle (100). The rear index value is a value that varies according to a relative distance and a relative speed of the object located behind to the straddle-type vehicle (100).
A SAFETY HELMET
A safety helmet for enhancing visibility to road users. The safety helmet has a plurality of lights which are operatively connected to a power supply; at least one motion sensor which detects a behavioural characteristic of the cyclist and provides input signals to a controller, the controller operates in accordance with an algorithm whereby the signals are processed to determine appropriate timing of activation of the lights, in dependence upon the behavioural characteristic detected; and wherein switching signals from the controller switch on the lights to indicate actual or intended direction of travel
MOTION DETECTION AND LIGHTING SYSTEM
A motion detection and lighting system to improve the visibility and safety of a person operating equipment while moving through space is disclosed herein. The motion detection and lighting system includes at least: a motion detection module, controller, and lighting system that are configured to be communicatively coupled to one another and attached to a person. The motion of the person is detected and the one or more lights in the lighting system are configured to be activated for illumination based at least in part on the motion of the person operating the equipment while traveling through space.
Safety device
Disclosed is a system for providing vehicle indicator lights, such as brake lights for a bicycle or motorcycle. The system may include at least one indicator light, a gyroscopic sensor, an accelerometer, a power supply, and a signal processing unit that receives inputs from the gyroscopic sensor and the accelerometer and activates an indicator light based on inputs from the sensors. Various algorithmic functions and other features may also be included in the system to make detection more robust and the make the system useable for a variety of different vehicle applications.
