COVERING DEVICE
A covering device for a storage compartment of a vehicle includes a cover that is slidably mounted for movement between a closed position and an open position. An actuating element is arranged on the cover for manually actuating the cover to be moved along a movement direction between the closed position and the open position. In the closed position a latching part of the cover engages a projection to lock the cover in the closed position. A spring bias is provided to bias the latching part of the cover into engagement with the projection when the cover is in the closed position. The latching part and the projection are engaged in such a way that a locking action of the latching part on the projection is released by manual actuation of the actuating element in the movement direction.
Tonneau cover and tonneau cover apparatus
A main body includes a front engaging part on a front side thereof. The front engaging part is engaged with an interior part of the vehicle. The main body is pivotable about the front engaging part. A first string includes a first connecting part connected to the main body rearward of the front engaging part and a first engaging part engaged with a pivotable back door. A second string includes a second connecting part connected to the main body rearward of the front engaging part and a second engaging part engaged with a vehicle main body. The first string is subjected to tension due to weight of the main body and the second string is loosened when the back door is opened. When the main body is moved to a direction that causes the first string to loosen in said state, the second string is subjected to tension.
MOTOR VEHICLE
A motor vehicle is provided with a luggage compartment opening arranged at the rear of a body of the motor vehicle, and a tailgate arranged pivotably on the body and in a closed position closes the luggage compartment opening and in an open position at least partially opens the luggage compartment opening. In order to provide a motor vehicle with a luggage compartment of variable size, the motor vehicle comprises a cover attached to a vehicle portion of the motor vehicle adjacent to the luggage compartment opening and/or defining the luggage compartment opening, and which is made of a flexible material and is configured and arranged such that, in the open position of the tailgate or by pivoting of the tailgate into the open position, it can be transferred from a compact rest state into an extended function state.
TONNEAU SYSTEM FOR USE WITH A PICKUP TRUCK
A tonneau system for use with a pickup truck. The tonneau system includes a tonneau cover, a frame, and a latch. The tonneau cover has a plurality of tonneau sections, including at least a first tonneau section and a second tonneau section. A first hinge system couples the first tonneau section to the second tonneau section, enabling stacking and expanding of the first tonneau section relative to the second tonneau section. The frame has a first side rail securable to a first side of a cargo box of a pickup truck and a second side rail securable to a second side of the cargo box. The latch releaseably secures the tonneau cover to the first and second side rails. When the latch is released, the stacked tonneau sections are permitted to depend into the cargo box.
SHELVING ARRANGEMENT FOR A VEHICLE
A vehicle includes a cargo area defined by opposing interior sidewalls, each of the sidewalls having a mount formed therein and a shelving arrangement defining a storage receptacle. The arrangement has a rigid top panel with extendable wings configured to engage the mounts to support and suspend the arrangement within the cargo area. The arrangement further has collapsible walls attached with the top panel such that in an expanded position, the storage receptacle is disposed underneath the panel.
LOADING SPACE ARRANGEMENT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
A loading space arrangement for a motor vehicle includes a foldable loading space cover configured to cover a loading space in a covering position of the loading space cover; a guide system configured to guide the loading space cover between the covering position and a folded-together folded position of the loading space cover; and a lock configured to lock the loading space cover at a height which is vertically spaced apart from the guide system. The guide system is further configured to uncouple the loading space cover from the guide system in the folded position. The lock is further configured to pivot the loading space cover from the folded position into a stowed position.
Systems and Methods for Particulate Removal Using Polymeric Microstructures
Systems and methods for removing particles from a surface of a substrate without damage to the substrate are provided. The disclosed systems/methods use polymeric microstructures, e.g., microfibrils, to remove micrometric and sub-micrometric particles from a substrate surface by establishing interfacial interactions with the particles that effectively debond the particles from the surface of the substrate. The disclosed systems/methods have wide ranging applications, including particle removal in art conservation processes, microelectronic applications, optical applications and any other field that stands to benefit from precise removal of particles/dust from a surface without damage to the surface.
Removable and expandable storage unit for a motor vehicle
A storage unit is provided for a motor vehicle. That storage unit includes an expandable body and a connector that releasably secures the expandable body to a component of the motor vehicle.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SUBDIVIDING VEHICLE CAB AND/OR STORAGE SPACE INTO A NUMBER OF SUB-PORTIONS
A device for subdividing vehicle cabs and/or storage spaces into a number of sub-portions, comprising a number of deformable walls and a drive unit for moving the walls between an open position, in which the walls do not subdivide the cab and/or the storage space, and a closure position, in which the walls subdivide the cab and/or the storage space into the sub-portions. The walls become deformed during movement between the closure position and the open position. A method for subdividing vehicle cabs and/or storage spaces into a number of sub-portions, and a vehicle are also disclosed.
