INTELLIGENT VEHICLE BLIND SPOT DETECTION SYSTEM
An intelligent vehicle blind spot detection system, includes an MCU (microcontroller unit), visual detectors, a blind spot detection device and a warning device. The visual detectors are used to monitor whether the driver's eyesight directs to the left or right rearview mirror, and can be set on either side A-pillar or on the central control panel. The blind spot detection device is used to detect whether there are other vehicles in the blind zone of the driver's sight through the corresponding rearview mirror. The warning signal occurs only in a situation that both the visual detectors and the blind spot detection device obtain the respective positive results.
Curtain airbag device mounting structure and curtain airbag deployment method
A curtain airbag device mounting structure includes: a first pillar forming a part of a front pillar and extends substantially along a vehicle height direction; a second pillar forming another part of the front pillar, the second pillar being disposed on a rear side of a vehicle relative to the first pillar at a predetermined distance from the first pillar and extending substantially along the vehicle height direction; a transparent member bridged between the first pillar and the second pillar; and a curtain airbag device including a curtain airbag stored along a roof side rail and the second pillar, the curtain airbag being configured to inflate and deploy in a curtain-like fashion over a side portion of a cabin of the vehicle in case of a collision of the vehicle.
ALIGNMENT SYSTEM
An alignment system comprises a first diffractive optical element comprising an image and a laser source. The image is visible when the laser source is viewed from a desired field of view through the diffractive optical element. The laser source may be configured to produce a beam of light that will extend through at least a portion of the first diffractive optical element, thereby illuminating the image. The first diffractive optical element and the laser source may be disposed in a vehicle.
Speaker mounting structure to front pillar in vehicle and method of manufacturing vehicle
A device is mounted on a vehicle body and housed in a space between a pillar inner and a pillar trim. A speaker is inserted into an opening portion opened in the pillar trim from an inside of a vehicle compartment and retained therein. A harness is connected to the speaker and disposed in the space. In a part of the speaker to be inserted into an inner side of the pillar trim, a protrusion portion is provided that protrudes radially outward. An insertion acceptance portion that is a gap for accepting insertion of the protrusion portion is provided in an opening edge portion facing the opening portion on an inner surface side of the pillar trim. The insertion acceptance portion has a width larger than a width of the protrusion portion.
BLIND SPOT REDUCTION SYSTEM
A blind spot reduction system comprises a display element disposed on an interior surface of a pillar of a vehicle; at least one imager configured to capture images; and a processing system in communication with the display element and the at least one imager. The processing system may be configured to process the captured images; and the display element may be configured to display the processed images. The processed images may be images of a scene blocked from the view of a viewer by the pillar of the vehicle.
Push hanger hook
An apparatus, in the form of a push hanger hook, includes a housing, a hook fixed to the housing and a cover including a hook receiver. The cover is displaceable between a deployed position wherein the hook is received within the hook receiver and a retracted position wherein the cover is retracted into the housing and the hook is exposed from the hook receiver for access and use.
SHADING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A shading device for a vehicle, comprising a dimming glass plate capable of changing a light transmittance thereof, wherein the dimming glass plate is provided at a portion of a vehicular window glass to separate an interior of vehicular compartment from outside of the vehicular compartment or provided at a portion of a surface of the vehicular window glass that faces inside of the vehicular compartment; a display apparatus formed of a light transmitting material and disposed at a surface of the dimming glass plate that faces inside of the vehicular compartment, with a display portion facing inside the vehicular compartment; an image pickup device to capture an area outside of a vehicle to generate image pickup data, wherein the area is at an opposite surface on the dimming glass plate, the opposite surface being opposite a surface on which the display apparatus is provided; a data processing circuit to generate display image data to be displayed on the display portion based on the image pickup data generated by the image pickup device; and a switch to change light transmittance of the dimming glass plate.
VEHICLE INTERIOR STRUCTURE
An interior structure includes a pillar garnish, a channel member, and a screen member. The pillar garnish is integral with a center pillar, and is formed with an opening facing a vehicle cabin and formed with a hollow housing section on the opposite side to the vehicle cabin. The channel member is provided so as to be capable of being housed in the housing section and capable of moving toward the vehicle cabin through the opening. The screen member is provided at the channel member so as to be housed in the housing section when in a non-deployed state and so as to be deployed in the vehicle cabin in a state in which the channel member has been moved into the vehicle cabin.
Vehicle interior component
A vehicle interior component includes an interior component body arranged along a vehicle body member with a face thereof exposed to a vehicle room and a display unit arranged at the interior component body to perform displaying for a passenger. The display unit includes a light source to radiate light to the interior component body from a back face side thereof, a transmissive section to perform displaying to be visible from a front face side of the interior component body by being transmissively illuminated with light from the light source as being formed by thinning a region of the interior component body, and a reinforcing member arranged on the back face side of the interior component body to reinforce the transmissive section.
VEHICULAR CABIN MONITORING SYSTEM WITH CAMERA AND NEAR IR LIGHT EMITTER AT INTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
A vehicular cabin monitoring system includes an interior rearview mirror assembly configured for attaching at an interior portion of an equipped vehicle and having a having a mirror head accommodating a driver monitoring camera and first and second near infrared light emitters. When the equipped vehicle is a left hand drive vehicle, a beam of light emitted by the first near infrared light emitters is directed toward a driver-side front seating location of the left hand drive vehicle when the first near infrared light emitter emits near infrared light for a driver monitoring function. When the equipped vehicle is a right hand drive vehicle, a beam of light emitted by the second light emitting element is directed toward a driver-side front seating location of the right hand drive vehicle when the second near infrared light emitter emits near infrared light for the driver monitoring function.
