Rear door shelf with one touch opening
A rear door shelf assembly having a mounting base portion and a shelf rotatably connected to the mounting base portion for moving between an open position and a closed position. A spring-loaded prop rod is rotatably connected to the assembly. Storage features are connectable to the prop rod to provide multi-functionality of the assembly as a utility table and a storage unit. A one-touch latching mechanism holds the shelf in the closed position.
Composite module
A composite module for a vehicle may be both a structural member and include a finished surface. In at least some embodiments, a composite rear shelf module includes a panel with a reinforced multilayer, multi-laminate fiber reinforced plastic composite structure. The panel may include selectively orientated, continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite layers and/or the panel may include discontinuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic reinforcements. The composite rear shelf module may include a show surface film with a class-A surface, eliminating the need for a separate layer of carpet or other material. In some embodiments the module has vehicle attachment members for securing the module to the vehicle body, and the stiffness and mass of the module and the arrangement of the vehicle attachment members and reinforcements are tuned to move the natural modes, or natural frequencies, of the panel outside the working frequency range of any speakers or subwoofers.
SHELVING ARRANGEMENT FOR A VEHICLE
A vehicle includes a cargo area defined by opposing interior sidewalls, each of the sidewalls having a mount formed therein and a shelving arrangement defining a storage receptacle. The arrangement has a rigid top panel with extendable wings configured to engage the mounts to support and suspend the arrangement within the cargo area. The arrangement further has collapsible walls attached with the top panel such that in an expanded position, the storage receptacle is disposed underneath the panel.
Rear tray for vehicle having energy harvesting elements
A rear tray for a vehicle with structures having energy harvesting elements may include a first energy harvesting element structure installed around a speaker of the rear tray for generating electric energy from friction force, and a second energy harvesting element structure installed at a rear portion of the rear tray for generating electric energy from solar light, driving vibration of the vehicle or both the solar light and the driving vibration of the vehicle.
Fastening arrangement for a safety belt of a rear seat row of a motor vehicle and motor vehicle with such a fastening arrangement
A fastening arrangement is disclosed for a safety belt of a rear seat row of a motor vehicle with a cross brace, which extends in the lateral direction. The fastening arrangement includes a tubular cross brace. The cross brace is provided with a mounting flange, on which a belt retractor is fastened and supported. The mounting flange is downwardly offset relative to an upper wall of the cross brace in the vertical direction.
Closed-form seatbelt retractor assembly
A closed-form seatbelt retractor assembly includes a package tray having sidewalls that define an interior cavity. An aperture is disposed through at least one of the sidewalls. A bracket is connected to the package tray proximate the aperture to cover at least a portion of the aperture. A seatbelt retractor is secured to an interior surface of the bracket and disposed substantially entirely within the interior cavity.
INTEGRATED MOTOR VEHICLE HYBRID SHELF ASSEMBLY
A motor vehicle hybrid shelf assembly includes a body defining a member of a motor vehicle frame, the body including an aperture having edges. A module is positioned at the aperture, the module defining a load bearing portion of the body replacing a load bearing capability of a body portion removed to define the aperture. Multiple connecting arms extend from the module and beyond the edges of the aperture to support the module on the body, including a first, second, third and fourth connecting arm. Each of the connecting arms is connected to the body using a fastener. Multiple connecting members integrally connect a first reinforcement member surrounding the aperture to a second reinforcement member. The multiple connecting members allow the first and second reinforcement members to be simultaneously co-molded in a single injection molding shot of a polymeric material.
VEHICLE REAR STRUCTURE
A vehicle rear structure has an upper back panel, and a first closed sectional part that is coupled to a front end part of the upper back panel in a vehicle forward-rearward direction and serves as a closed sectional part having a closed section structure. The first closed sectional part is constituted of a first panel and a second panel that are panel members different from the upper back panel. The thickness of the first panel and the thickness of the second panel are larger than the thickness of the upper back panel, respectively.
Speaker device for vehicle, and vehicle having the speaker device
A speaker device for a vehicle includes a speaker unit, an enclosure mounted to a vehicle body accommodating the speaker unit, and provided with an inner space which is divided into a front space into which a front sound of the speaker unit is radiated and a rear space into which a rear sound of the speaker unit is radiated by a division member, a first path connecting the front space to a first division space provided in the vehicle body, a second path connecting the rear space to a second division space provided in the vehicle body, and a front sound outlet connecting the front space to an indoor space of the vehicle.
