Apparatus and method for active cargo carrier mounting system
Embodiments of active cargo carrier mounting system secure a cargo carrier to a top surface of a vehicle using an outer seal secured to the rooftop of a vehicle, at least one vacuum pump controllably coupled to a microcontroller, a vacuum line fluidly coupled to the at least one vacuum pump, and a plurality of vacuum cups configured to secure the active cargo carrier mounting system to the rooftop of the vehicle.
Image capturing device and image capturing method
An image capturing device according to one embodiment includes a camera unit configured to capture images of a surrounding environment and generate image data, a suction-attachment unit configured to support the camera unit and be fixed on a suction-attachment subject surface by a user, a determination unit configured to determine whether or not the image data can be output to a recording unit, and a controller configured to control output of the image data to the recording unit, based on a determination result by the determination unit.
TWO-SUCTION-CUP VEHICLE-MOUNTED SUPPORT FIXING DEVICE
The present disclosure discloses a two-suction-cup vehicle-mounted support fixing device, including a mounting seat and a suction cup main body; a cylinder channel is formed in the mounting seat; a pressure valve switch is arranged in the cylinder channel; one end of the suction cup main body is embedded to a bottom of the mounting seat, and the other end of the suction cup main body extends into the cylinder channel and is hinged with the pressure valve switch; the suction cup main body includes an outer suction cup and at least one inner suction cup located on an inner side of the outer suction cup; a pull handle is also arranged on one side of the suction cup main body; and a support connector is arranged at one end of the mounting seat.
Reduced footprint vacuum mounted hitch rack carrier systems for vehicles
A vacuum-based hitch rack carrier system for a vehicle having a rear hitch and rear hitch receiver. The system includes a plurality of vacuum devices having a pad shaped and sized to removably seat with a vehicle to form a vacuum cavity, a plunger attached to the pad and in fluid communication with the vacuum cavity, and an indicator associated with the vacuum device to indicate the level of vacuum pressure within the vacuum. The system has a receiver hitch adapter for joining a rack configured to secure an article to the vehicle via attachment to the rear hitch receiver, a mount shaped and sized to mate and secure the article to the rack, and one or more support bars attached to said mount. At least one of the support bars contains a break and fold assembly configured to allow the carrier system to be folded.
Suction devices having artificial muscles
A suction device including a casing having a central post extending through the casing. A flexible member is provided across a free end of the central post. One or more artificial muscles are housed within the casing and encircle the central post, each artificial muscle including a housing having a first wall and a second wall opposite the first wall. The housing having an electrode region adjacent an expandable fluid region, a dielectric fluid housed within the housing, and an electrode pair housed within the electrode region of the housing. The electrode pair includes a first electrode coupled to the first wall and a second electrode coupled to the second wall. The electrode pair is actuatable between a non-actuated state and an actuated state such that actuation from the non-actuated state to the actuated state directs the dielectric fluid into the expandable fluid region and deforms the flexible member to form a suction area at the free end of the central post.
TOY RETRIEVAL APPARATUS
A toy retrieval apparatus wherein the present invention is configured to facilitate retrieval of a fallen toy or similar object subsequent a child sitting in the rear seat of a vehicle dropping the toy and a passenger in the front seat can utilize the present invention to retrieve the toy. The toy retrieval apparatus includes a housing wherein the housing has a spring loaded winding member disposed in the interior volume thereof. The spring loaded winding member has a cord member secured thereto. The cord member has attached to the distal end an attachment member. The attachment member of the present invention is formed to releasably secure to a toy through either adherence to the outer cover of the attachment member or being secured with finger members of the attachment member. The attachment member includes a malleable metal structural insert member that provides bending of the finger members.
MOUNT APPARATUS FOR SECURING AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE TO A SURFACE
Various embodiments of a mount apparatus are disclosed herein for securing an electronic device (such as a radar laser detector, GPS device, and/or dash camera or other electronic device used within a vehicle) to a surface such as an interior surface (e.g., windshield, dashboard) of a vehicle. In one example, the mount apparatus includes a magnet which is adapted to be coupled with a corresponding metal surface within the electronic device, so that the magnet positioned within the apparatus provides a magnetic force to aid a user in securing the mount apparatus and the electronic device to each other.
Adjustable vehicle luggage compartment attachment system
An adjustable vehicle luggage compartment attachment system comprises at least one bracket having a top end and a lower end. The top end receives a luggage compartment and the lower end mounts on the vehicle at the rear window or the trunk. At the top end of the bracket, at least one horizontal beam may be used to mount the luggage compartment. At the lower end the bracket may be releasably, fastenable and removeable from the vehicle and said luggage compartment using attachment mechanism such as a suction cup or other soft releasably, removeable attachment mechanism. The bracket may be static or expandable vertically, horizontally or both.
HAND SANITIZER, AIR PURIFICATION, AND FOGGER VEHICLE MOUNT
The present invention is a hand sanitizer, air purification, fogger vehicle mount, or combination thereof, attach to a dashboard of a vehicle. Its purpose is to maximize disinfecting opportunities as a countermeasure to the spread of disease, including COVID-19. As a hand sanitizer, this invention is a hand-free device that minimizes cross-contamination among vehicle patrons during operation. A sensor, activated by hand proximity, sends a signal to a controller, then to a pump to dispense a portion-controlled volume of hand sanitizer. To disinfect airborne antigens, HEPA filtration and UV light are utilized. Pathogen lingering on surfaces are disinfected by a fogger, which dispenses atomized droplets throughout a vehicle. To eliminate exposure to nebulized sanitizer, the controller may receive a wireless signal from outside the vehicle. Independently powered, a vehicle can be sanitized each time it arrives at a destination, made ready to transport the next group of patrons safely.
