A mounting assembly for an attachment device of a vehicle includes receiving or holding means on a rearview device of the vehicle, the receiving or holding means being adapted so that the attachment device can be fixed by means of at least one fixing means of the attachment device in operative connection with at least one complementary fixing means of the receiving or holding means, where at least one of the at least one fixing means of the attachment device or the receiving or holding means is configured to be in operative connection, where after fixation, the attachment device cannot be released from the fixing means without destruction, and at least one of the at least one fixing means of the attachment device or the complementary fixing means of the receiving or holding means includes at least one of a clip, an undercut and a latch.

A vehicle includes a truck bed, docking plate, baseplate, latching system, air compressor, and air storage tank. The truck bed has a side panel extending upward from a floor panel. The docking plate is secured to an internal surface of the side panel. The baseplate has first and second opposing external surfaces. The latching system extends from the first surface and engages the docking plate to secure the baseplate thereto. The air compressor and the air storage tank are each secured to the second surface.

A smartphone disposed in a passenger compartment includes a cable connecting to a USB receptacle provided in a vehicle. An instrument panel, which is an interior panel, includes a holding groove that receives and holds the cable of the smartphone. Movement of the cable can be restricted by holding the cable in the holding groove. A combination cup and cellular phone holder assembly for holding and mounting a cellular phone within an automotive cup holder is disclosed wherein the cellular phone is always conveniently located with respect to the driver or passenger within the automotive vehicle cabin. The cup can be pivotally or rotationally moved, within the automotive cup holder, throughout a three hundred sixty degree (360) volumetric space such that both the driver and passenger within the automotive vehicle cabin can readily view and access the cellular phone while the cellular phone will not interfere with the upstanding gear stick or gear shift shaft mounted upon the central console of the automotive vehicle. A mounting arrangement for securing a housing to a windshield of the vehicle includes a mounting bracket having a plurality of keyhole slots, each having a receiving opening at one end of the keyhole slot, a locking recess at another end of the keyhole slot, and a ramp connecting the receiving opening with the locking recess. A plurality of mounting posts each including a base portion, a head portion, and a collar portion are mounted to the windshield and positioned to align with associated keyhole slots in the mounting bracket.
