Mountable Portable Device Retainer for a Steering Wheel
A mountable portable device retainer for a steering wheel is an apparatus that secures a portable device, preferably a smart phone, against a steering wheel. The apparatus more specifically positions the portable device along a line of sight for a user while driving a vehicle. The apparatus includes a malleable bracing strip, a securing hook, and at least one portable device holder. The malleable bracing strip positions the at least one portable device holder across the steering wheel. The securing hook attaches the malleable bracing strip, and consequently the at least one portable device holder, with the corresponding portable device, with the steering wheel. The at least one portable device holder mounts the portable device with the steering wheel. The at least one portable device may press the portable device against the wheel of the steering wheel or mount the portable device beside the steering wheel.
Harness for clip
A harness system for a clip. The clip has a base portion and a pair of elongated members, the elongated members folded over the base portion, thereby defining a gap configured to receive portions of a harness. The elongated members are separated from one another by a longitudinal opening for accommodating a rib between the portions of the harness. A gate is securably engaged to a first one of the elongated members and rotatable between an open position in which the gate does not obstruct said longitudinal opening and a closed position in which said gate obstructs said longitudinal opening. The harness is fashioned from a strip of webbing secured to a base along its midline and edges. The webbing thereby forms two pockets, each sized to accommodate one of the elongated members of the clip.
ONBOARD DEVICE AND ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE FOR ONBOARD DEVICE
An onboard device includes a body member, a support member projecting from the body member and including a base to be attached to a concave inner surface of a glass member having a curved shape provided in a vehicle, and a double-sided adhesive tape stuck on a the base. The base is a plate-like member including an attachment surface to be opposed to the inner surface of the glass member. The attachment surface is a curved surface having a curvature at least in a first direction along the attachment surface. The double-sided adhesive tape is provided with at least one first slit open toward an upper edge located on the upper side and cut downward and at least one second slit open toward a lower edge located on the lower side and cut upward when the base (3) is attached to the inner surface,
Jack bracket and vehicle
A jack bracket is provided. The jack bracket comprises a bracket base including a first side and a second side opposite the first side, a flexible strap having a first end portion coupled to the first side and a second end portion opposite the first end portion, and a lock assembly configured to couple the second end portion of the flexible strap to the second side of the bracket base. The flexible strap further includes a connection member disposed between the first end portion and the second end portion. The connection member is selectively attached to a vehicle part and selectively released from the vehicle part. The jack bracket of the present disclosure allows for removal and installation of a jack in a simple and fast manner in a limited space.
Large vehicle backup camera apparatus
A large vehicle backup camera apparatus for assisting tractor trailer and RV drivers while backing up includes a camera and at least one wide-angle light coupled to the camera housing. A transmitter coupled within the camera housing transmits video from the camera to a personal electronic device. A ferrous plate is coupled within the camera housing adjacent a housing back side of the camera housing. A mounting bracket has a magnet coupled there within. The magnet is selectively engageable with the ferrous plate to selectively engage a trailer rear of a tractor-trailer or long-towed RV that use and operate a 5th wheel mechanism, a gooseneck hitch, or any other hitch prone to sharp turning or jackknifing during reverse when towing.
Video display system for vehicle
A video display system for a vehicle includes a video display device disposed in the vehicle so as to be viewable by a driver of the vehicle. A camera is disposed at the vehicle and having an exterior field of view and operable to capture image data. A control includes a data processor. The control, responsive at least in part to processing by the data processor of captured image data, detects an object present exterior of the vehicle that is in the field of view of the camera, and determines if the detected object constitutes a hazardous condition. Responsive to determination of the hazardous condition, the control controls the video display device to automatically display an alert to the driver of the vehicle, with the alert including display of video images of the object that are derived from captured image data or a graphic overlay on displayed video images.
DASH CAM MOUNT
A mount for an electronic device includes a suction cup defining a front face attachable to a flat surface and an opposed rear face, a plunger having a plunger head attached to the rear face of the suction cup and a plunger arm extending away from the plunger head, a plunger stator defining a guide passage through which the plunger arm reciprocates relative to the plunger stator, a plunger actuator movably engaged with the plunger arm on an opposite side of the guide passage as the plunger head, an adapter attached to the plunger stator on the same side of the guide passage as the plunger head, the adapter defining an opening through which the plunger arm extends and a wire routing channel at least partially around a periphery of the adapter, and a mounting arm extending from the adapter and connectable to an electronic device.
Removable grab handle assembly for a vehicle
According to some embodiments, an assembly configured to be removably secured to an exposed structural component of a vehicle (e.g., a rollbar) comprises a cover assembly configured to secure to the exposed structural component of the vehicle, a hand grip configured to pass through at least a portion of the cover assembly and hand below the cover assembly, wherein the hand grip is configured to be grasped by a user, and at least one tool-receiving member configured to secure to the cover assembly.
