Gas generator
The present invention provides a gas generator in which short-passing of combustion gas is prevented. A cylindrical filter 30 including a first annular end surface 32 abutted against a top plate 12 and a second annular end surface 33 abutted against a bottom plate 21 is disposed inside a housing 10. A corner portion 75 formed by a bottom surface 71 and an outer circumferential wall 74 of a support member 70 is abutted against an abutting portion between the second annular end surface 33 and the bottom plate 21 to prevent the short-passing of the combustion gas from this portion.
VEHICLE SIDE AIRBAG SYSTEM, AND METHODS OF USE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Some embodiments are directed to an airbag assembly for protecting a vehicle occupant having a torso and a pelvis disposed in a vehicle seat. The airbag assembly can include a first inflatable chamber disposed in the vehicle seat and configured to expand outward from the vehicle seat to indirectly support the torso of the occupant. The airbag assembly can also include a second inflatable chamber disposed in the vehicle seat below the first inflatable chamber and configured to expand outward from the vehicle seat below the first inflatable chamber. The airbag assembly can further include a sheet connecting the first inflatable chamber to the second inflatable chamber, the sheet being configured to engage the torso of the occupant when the occupant is disposed in the vehicle seat.
GAS GENERATOR

MULTILAYER AIRBAG
A multilayer airbag for a protection system. The multilayer airbag consists of a number of independent airbags within one another which will be inflated with a time sequence or simultaneously.
External airbag system
The present invention provides for an advantageous external side airbag system (1), comprising at least one airbag (3, 3a-3c) with at least one dedicated inflator (5a-5c). The external airbag system is characterized in that at least one airbag has in a folded state an elongated shape that extends in a longitudinal direction (L) and is configured to be integrated in a side structure (19) of a vehicle, and in particular between a rocker panel (21) and a sill cover (31) of a vehicle.
Airbag equipped with sub-chamber
An airbag equipped with a sub-chamber may include a main chamber expanding by being injected with gas in a collision, and a sub-chamber formed by folding a panel-shaped chamber to be combined with the main chamber and have self-supporting force, the sub-chamber assisting supporting force of the main chamber by expanding with the main chamber.
Inflator
An inflator includes an inflator body that produces an inflation gas by burning a gas generating agent and a sensor that is mounted on the inflator body and is capable of detecting a degradation of the gas generating agent. The sensor is preferably composed of at least either one of a gas sensor, a pressure sensor, or a temperature sensor.
Vehicle airbag device
A vehicle airbag device is provided, the vehicle airbag device including (1) an airbag that is folded and stowed inside an airbag case, the airbag being inflated and deployed on being supplied with gas, (2) a mid-collision gas supply section that supplies gas into the airbag during a vehicle collision, and (3) a pre-collision gas supply section that, in a case in which it has been determined prior to a vehicle collision that a vehicle collision is unavoidable, supplies gas into the airbag at a lower temperature than a temperature of gas supplied into the airbag from the mid-collision gas supply section.
VEHICLE OCCUPANT RESTRAINING SYSTEM
A vehicle occupant restraining system includes plural occupant restraining devices that are disposed in a side support portion of a seat back of a vehicle seat and is configured to, when activated, restrain an occupant; and a control device that is configured to staggers the activation timings of the plural occupant restraining devices so that a load that acts on the occupant simultaneously from the plural occupant restraining devices is made to be equal to or less than a maximum value of a load that acts on the occupant individually from the plural occupant restraining devices.
OCCUPANT PROTECTION DEVICE
In an occupant protection device, an airbag disposed in a region of a lap belt of a seat belt includes a bag body and a conduit connected to an inflator disposed near a lower end of a seat portion of a seat. The airbag is held by the lap belt in a folded state. The conduit is disposed substantially along the lap belt while being held by a conduit holder. The conduit holder is formed of a material having flexibility and higher rigidity than the conduit, is disposed substantially along the conduit, and has both end sides fixed to a seat side and a bag body side, respectively, by a seat-side fixing portion or a bag body-side fixing portion.
