FLOOR MOUNTED LOWER LIMB RESTRAINT AIRBAG
A floor mounted lower limb restraint airbag device includes: an airbag installed at a lower side of a floor of a vehicle cabin, configured to rupture the floor by being supplied with gas from an inflator during a vehicle head-on collision, and configured to be expanded and deployed toward at least knee regions of a passenger seated in a vehicle seat; and a tension member coupling an upper portion of the airbag with a support section provided at a lower side of the floor, the tension member rupturing the floor and deploying accompanying expansion and deployment of the airbag, and the tension member pulling the upper portion of the airbag at a vehicle rear side and relatively toward a vehicle lower side in a case in which at least the knee regions of the passenger, who begins to move toward a vehicle front side under inertia, are restrained by the airbag.
VEHICLE AIRBAG DEVICE
A vehicle airbag device is provided, the vehicle airbag device including (1) an airbag that is folded and stowed inside an airbag case, the airbag being inflated and deployed on being supplied with gas, (2) a mid-collision gas supply section that supplies gas into the airbag during a vehicle collision, and (3) a pre-collision gas supply section that, in a case in which it has been determined prior to a vehicle collision that a vehicle collision is unavoidable, supplies gas into the airbag at a lower temperature than a temperature of gas supplied into the airbag from the mid-collision gas supply section.
INFLATOR
An inflator includes an inflator body that produces an inflation gas by burning a gas generating agent and a sensor that is mounted on the inflator body and is capable of detecting a degradation of the gas generating agent. The sensor is preferably composed of at least either one of a gas sensor, a pressure sensor, or a temperature sensor.
Occupant protection device
In an occupant protection device, an airbag disposed in a region of a lap belt of a seat belt includes a bag body and a conduit connected to an inflator disposed near a lower end of a seat portion of a seat. The airbag is held by the lap belt in a folded state. The conduit is disposed substantially along the lap belt while being held by a conduit holder. The conduit holder is formed of a material having flexibility and higher rigidity than the conduit, is disposed substantially along the conduit, and has both end sides fixed to a seat side and a bag body side, respectively, by a seat-side fixing portion or a bag body-side fixing portion.
ROOF-MOUNTED OCCUPANT RESTRAINT SYSTEM
A restraint system of a vehicle having a roof and a cabin with a seat for an occupant includes an inflator mounted to the roof of the vehicle and an airbag communicatively coupled to the inflator and inflatable to a deployed position from a stored position. The airbag comprising a main body comprising a first side that faces an upper half of an occupant, a second side that faces a lower half of the occupant, a first end coupled to the first and second sides, and a second end coupled to the first and second sides. The airbag further comprising a first tube communicatively coupled to the inflator and the main body between the first end and the second end and a second tube communicatively coupled to the inflator and the main body between the first end and the second end.
