20180304859 · 2018-10-25 · ·

A method, a device, and an apparatus are provided for controlling a windscreen wiper. The apparatus may be a vehicle. The method may include: acquiring environmental information at a vehicle location of the vehicle, the environmental information at the vehicle location of the vehicle including environmental temperature; determining whether the vehicle is in a service state or an out-of-service state; determining whether the environmental temperature is less than or equal to a preset temperature value according to the environmental temperature; and when the vehicle is in the out-of-service state and the environmental temperature is less than or equal to the preset temperature value, controlling the windscreen wiper of the vehicle to be raised in a direction away from a windscreen of the vehicle.

Cleaning System

A cleaning system includes an arm configured for connection to a cleaning implement. A base is spaced from the arm in an extension direction such that the cleaning implement is positionable between the arm and the base. The base and the arm are configured to move together in the extension direction between a recessed position and a raised position relative to a surface, and the arm is configured to rotate relative to the base in the raised position.

Window wiper system for providing enhanced performance in winter weather conditions

A window wiper system is provided for enhanced performance in winter weather conditions. The wiper system includes a wiper assembly having a wiper base, a wiper arm pivotally connected to the wiper base and wiper blade carried on the wiper arm. An actuator carried on the wiper assembly selectively displaces the wiper arm between an operating position wherein the wiper blade engages and sweeps the vehicle window and a raised position wherein the wiper blade is lifted from the vehicle window. When the wiper blade is displaced from the raised position to the operating position it impacts the window with sufficient force to remove any accumulated ice from the wiper assembly without damaging the assembly or the window.

WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM FOR MINIMIZING ICE BUILDUP AND FREEZING OF WINDSHIELD WIPERS
20180105140 · 2018-04-19 ·

A motor vehicle windshield wiper system includes a windshield wiper and a controller. The controller is configured, in response to a threat of freezing precipitation, to park the windshield wiper in a parked position with a first end of the windshield wiper oriented toward a top edge of the windshield and a second end of the windshield wiper oriented toward a bottom edge of the windshield. A related method of minimizing ice and snow buildup on a windshield wiper is also disclosed.

Wiper blade-lifting system
09937897 · 2018-04-10 ·

The wiper blade-lifting system comprises a wiper arm with a motorized mechanism to cause the wiper blade to bend at a hinge point responsive to the presence of electrical power. The wiper blade-lifting system is useful to lift a wiper blade off the surface of a windshield when ice or freezing rain is anticipated, so that the wiper blade does not become frozen in place against the surface of the windshield. A second activation of the wiper blade-lifting system using electrical power of the opposite polarity causes the wiper blade to straighten and place the wiper blade back in contact with the windshield. The application of electrical power to the wiper blade-lifting system may be under control of an interior lift control or, in some embodiments, a blade lift remote control.

SYSTEMS, VEHICLES, AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATICALLY DEPLOYING A WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADE TO A DEPLOYED POSITION

A system for automatically deploying a windshield wiper blade to a deployed position includes one or more processors, an actuator coupled to the windshield wiper blade and communicatively coupled to the one or more processors, one or more optical sensors communicatively coupled to the one or more processors that output an optical signal, and one or more memory modules communicatively coupled to the one or more processors. The one or more memory modules store logic that when executed by the one or more processors cause the one or more processors to receive the optical signal output by the one or more optical sensors, detect whether an accumulation of a substance has formed on the vehicle based on the optical signal output by the one or more optical sensors, and deploy, with the actuator, the windshield wiper blade to the deployed position in response to detecting the accumulation of the substance.

WIPER SYSTEM

An automatic integrated automobile windshield wiper lifting device includes a driver unit, which includes, in the interior thereof, a driving element and a power supply. The driving element has an end to which a first driving body is mounted. A control element is arranged at a predetermined location of the driver unit. A lifting unit is mounted at a predetermined location of the driver unit. The lifting unit has an end at which a support element is arranged. The lifting unit includes therein a second driving body. The support element is coupled to the second driving body. The first driving body and the second driving body mate each other. An activator is arranged at a predetermined location of the lifting unit.

HOLDER FOR MOTOR VEHICLE WIPER ARMS
20170158171 · 2017-06-08 ·

A wiper arm holder for supporting first and second wiper arm elements located in extended position relative to a motor vehicle windshield. The holder includes a shaft section having a first end loop for attaching the shaft section to the first wiper arm element. The holder also includes a receiver section having a second end loop for attaching the receiver section to the second wiper arm element. The receiver section receives the shaft section and the shaft section is moveable relative to the receiver section. In use, the shaft section is moved to a desired position that changes a distance between the first and second wiper arm elements to place the first and second wiper arms in tension. Further, the holder includes a locking mechanism for locking the shaft section in the desired position. In an embodiment, the holder includes a rotatable support arm that abuts against the windshield to support the holder.
