Vehicle optical detection system

An optical detection system (100) for a vehicle (1) comprises at least one sensor (4) and a spraying device (5) for spraying a cleaning product onto the glazed surface (21) of this sensor. The sensor (4) is electrically connected to a power-supply and control network (11). According to the invention, the sensor (4) and the spraying device (5) are electrically connected to each other in the aim of controlling the spraying device (5).

HOUSING FOR MECHANICAL DEVICE, MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY, GEAR MOTOR AND ASSOCIATED ATTACHMENT METHOD

A method for attaching a plastic barrel configured to guide an output shaft of a mechanical device to a housing for the mechanical device is disclosed. The housing includes a chimney delimited by an upper edge and a base, the chimney being arranged to partially surround the output shaft, the plastic barrel having a lateral protuberance. The method involves at least the following steps: inserting a first end of the plastic barrel into the chimney of the housing until the lateral protuberance axially abuts against the upper edge of the chimney, and at least partially deforming the first end of the plastic barrel in order to form an axial counter-abutment.

When a first driver setting mode indicates an “OFF mode” or an “AUTO mode,” a VP accepts a light operation mode request from an ADK. When an operation is performed by a user, the VP changes an operation mode of a headlight in accordance with the operation by the user. When the operation by the user has not been performed, the VP changes the operation mode of the headlight in accordance with the light operation mode request.

SNOW MELTING APPARATUS

A wiper system includes a wiper blade to wipe a windshield, an angle sensor, and a motor. The motor drives the wiper blade to reverse a wipe operation of the wiper blade at a reversal position based on the angle sensor, such that rotation of the motor when the wiper blade moves to a released position is reversed to rotation of the motor when the wiper blade moves to a standby position. A first heating element is installed near a front pillar and generates heat when energized. A determiner determines whether snow accumulates on a surface of the windshield based on an operation of the wiper system. A controller controls energization of the first heating element and energizes the first heating element on determination of the determiner that snow accumulates on the surface of the windshield.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PREDICTING THE PRESENCE OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS IN IMAGE DATA

The present disclosure relates to methods and systems for generating a trained learning algorithm configured to predict the presence of environmental conditions in image data, a vehicle for utilizing the algorithm, as well as methods and systems for generating the training data for the automated supervised training of a learning algorithm. In some embodiments the training data is in the form of labelled images generated by a camera device arranged on a vehicle, where the labels are indicative of an environmental sensor activation or deactivation signal, or a user-input signal which serve as a supervisory signal for the training of the learning algorithm.

WIPER CONTROL APPARATUS
20170361810 · 2017-12-21 ·

Turning angles of an output shaft of a wiper motor are detected by a turning angle sensor. In a case in which a wiper switch is switched off, a wiper control circuit performs control to stop a wiper blade at a stowed position, which is a stop reference position, on the basis of a position of the wiper blade calculated from a detected turning angle. If the wiper blade stops at a position that is different from the stop reference position, the wiper control circuit sets this stop position as a new stop reference position. In a case in which the wiper switch is subsequently switched on again, the wiper control circuit performs control to move the wiper blade from the new stop reference position.
