Vehicle Camera And Sensor Washer Manifold Assembly

A manifold assembly for a camera wash system of an autonomous vehicle is disclosed. The manifold assembly includes a fluid inlet; a plurality of fluid injectors, each fluid injector configured to switch between an open state in which fluid passes through the fluid injector and aclosed state in which fluid does not pass through the fluid injector; a block member configured to hold the fluid injectors in a fixed position; and a rail member including a fluid passage in fluidcommunication between the fluid inlet and each fluid injector for providing a cleaning fluid to each of the fluid injectors.

Fluid volume determination enhanced by assessment of vehicle operative state

A method of determining a volume of a fluid in a reservoir arranged in a vehicle includes assessing, via a controller, whether a first sensor operatively connected to the reservoir and configured to detect a predetermined level of the fluid in the reservoir has been triggered. The method also includes detecting, via a second sensor, a vehicle operative state indicative of inclination of a free surface of the fluid in the reservoir. The method additionally includes communicating, via the second sensor, the detected vehicle operative state to the electronic controller and determining a degree of inclination of the free surface of the fluid in response to the detected vehicle operative state. Furthermore, the method includes determining, via the controller, the volume of the fluid in the reservoir when the first sensor has been triggered in response to the determined degree of inclination of the free surface of the fluid.

Manifold for vehicle sensor cleaning

A cleaning system includes a straight pipe defining an axis, an inlet fluidly connected to the pipe and in line with the axis, and at least three outlets fluidly connected to and elongated from the pipe. The outlets extend parallel to each other and transverse from the pipe. The pipe has an increasing cross-sectional area along the axis from the outlet closest to the inlet to the outlet farthest from the inlet.

Washer fluid system and delivery method

A washer fluid delivery system includes a washer fluid reservoir having a first zone with a first low point and a second zone with a second low point. A first valve is disposed in the first zone. The first valve is moveable back and forth between a flow permitting position and a flow restricting position in response to an amount of washer fluid within the first zone. A second valve is disposed in the second zone. The second valve is moveable back and forth between a flow permitting position and a flow restricting position in response to an amount of washer fluid within the second zone. A pump operates to draw a washer fluid from the first zone when the first valve is in the flow permitting position, and to draw a washer fluid from the second zone when the second valve is in the flow permitting position.
