Automated parking brake and method for operating an automated parking brake
An automated parking brake for a motor vehicle having at least one brake device is configured to adopt at least two states. In a first state, no clamping force is established by the parking brake, and in a second state, a clamping force is established by the parking brake. A transition point defines a transition between the two states. An identification of the transition point is carried out during a releasing process of the parking brake.
REDUNDANT INTEGRATED PARKING BRAKE RELEASE CIRCUIT
An electric motor-driven parking brake of a motor vehicle can be released in an emergency by applying emergency current from a parallel emergency current source to the motors controlling the parking brake. The direction of the emergency current is selected to reverse the motors, i.e., release the parking brake.
Method and Device for a Highly Available Automatic Parking Brake
A device for an automatic parking brake includes a first microchip and a second microchip. The first microchip and the second microchip are configured to actuate an end stage of the automatic parking brake. The first microchip and the second microchip are configured in a redundant manner with respect to one another in relation to actuating the end stage.
COMPOSITE CABLE FOR VEHICLE AND COMPOSITE CABLE ASSEMBLY INCLUDING SAME
The present disclosure relates to a composite cable for a vehicle and a composite cable assembly, which are capable of simultaneously providing a communication function and power to an electronic parking brake (EPB) and an anti-lock brake system (ABS) for use in a vehicle, and maximizing electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) shielding performance between internal components or external cables.
Brake device
A brake device having an electric parking brake function, capable of appropriately performing stepwise increase control for a clamping force. A control unit including a computing circuit (20), a memory (21), and each motor drive circuit (23) of a parking brake control device (19) includes a stepwise increase control unit configured to increase the clamping force generated by brake pads (33) to a disc rotor (4) in a stepwise manner. When start of contact between the disc rotor (4) and the brake pads (33) caused by feeding of power from the parking brake control device (19) to an electric motor (43B) is detected based on a motor current from a current sensor unit (24), the stepwise increase control unit performs control for repeatedly feeding and stopping power to the electric motor (43B) to increase the clamping force in a stepwise manner in accordance with a predefined processing procedure.
COMPOSITE CABLE AND COMPOSITE HARNESS
[Problem] Provided are a composite cable and a composite harness that allow the improvement of cable termination workability while maintaining the flex resistance.
[Solution] A composite cable 1 is provided with a pair of first electric wires 2, a twisted pair wire 4 formed by twisting a pair of second electric wires 3 having a smaller outer diameter than the first electric wires 2 and a tape member 6 spirally wound around an assembled article 5 that is formed by twisting the pair of first electric wires 2 and the twisted pair wire 4 together, wherein a twist direction of the twisted pair wire 4 is different from a twist direction of the assembled article 5, and the twist direction of the assembled article 5 is different from a winding direction of the tape member 6.
Composite cable and composite harness
A composite cable includes a first twisted-pair wire formed by twisting a pair of first electric wires, a second twisted-pair wire formed by twisting a pair of second electric wires, a pair of third electric wires arranged between the first and second twisted-pair wires in a circumferential direction, each third electric wire having a larger outer diameter than the first and second electric wires, and a tape member spirally wound around an assembled article that is formed by twisting the first twisted-pair wire, the second twisted-pair wire and the pair of third electric wires together. The two twisted-pair wires have the same twist direction, the twist direction of the two twisted-pair wires is different from a twist direction of the assembled article, and the twist direction of the assembled article is different from a winding direction of the tape member.
INTEGRATED PERFORMANCE BRAKING
Integrated performance braking is disclosed. A disclosed example apparatus includes a hand-operated lever of a vehicle, a data interface to operatively couple the lever to an anti-lock braking system (ABS) of the vehicle, and a brake controller to cause at least one wheel of the vehicle to lock via the ABS when the lever is rotated to a defined angular position.

Method for maintaining a brake system having a hydraulic vehicle brake and electromechanical brake device
A method for maintaining a brake system in a vehicle with a hydraulic vehicle brake and an electromechanical brake device with an electric brake motor includes preparing the brake system for maintenance operations by actuating the electric brake motor to displace a transmission member into a retracted position that is remote from a brake starting position in which a brake lining is located adjacent to a brake disk of the wheel brake device. The method further includes actuating the electric brake motor to displace the transmission member in the direction of the brake starting position after completion of the maintenance operations.
