A low-floor electric bus includes a plurality of battery packs mounted under the floor of such that the floor inside the bus between a front axle and a rear axle of the bus is substantially flat. Each battery pack may include an enclosure and multiple battery modules positioned within the enclosure. And, each battery module may include a plurality of battery cells electrically connected together.

A drive axle system that includes first and second wheel end assemblies, a support structure, and an electric motor. A support structure supports the first and second wheel end assemblies and the electric motor. The electric motor has a rotor that is rotatable about a rotor axis. The rotor axis is disposed below a wheel axis.

An electric axle assembly includes a suspension frame and drive assemblies coupled to opposing sides of the suspension frame. The electric axle assembly engages with wheels of a vehicle for rotating the wheels to move the vehicle along a round surface. A drive unit transfers motive force to the wheels through one or more gearsets and axle shafts.

A vehicle transmission apparatus and a vehicle are provided in this application. The vehicle transmission apparatus includes a motor and a speed reducer. The speed reducer includes a speed reduction gear set. The speed reduction gear set includes an input gear, an intermediate gear, and an output gear. The input gear is connected to the motor. At least one intermediate gear is provided, and is meshed between the input gear and the output gear. Rotational centers of the input gear, the intermediate gear, and the output gear are not on the same line.

An electric axle assembly includes a suspension frame and drive assemblies coupled to opposing sides of the suspension frame. The electric axle assembly engages with wheels of a vehicle for rotating the wheels to move the vehicle along a ground surface. A drive unit transfers motive force to the wheels through one or more gearsets and axle shafts.

A vehicle base structure includes first and second structural members extending along a vehicle front-rear direction and disposed respectively at first and second sides of a vehicle base in a vehicle width direction, a battery unit disposed between the first and second structural members, and a bracket including a first wall portion fixed to a lower surface of one of the first and second structural members, a second wall portion extending inward in the vehicle width direction from an inner end portion of the first wall portion and inclined downward in a vehicle-height direction from the inner end portion of the first wall portion, and a third wall portion extending inward in the vehicle width direction from an inner end portion of the second wall portion inward in the vehicle width direction and being fixed to a lower surface of a battery case.

A vehicle base structure includes first and second structural members extending along a vehicle front-rear direction and disposed respectively at first and second sides of a vehicle base in a vehicle width direction, a battery unit disposed between the first and second structural members, and a bracket including a first wall portion fixed to a lower surface of one of the first and second structural members, a second wall portion extending inward in the vehicle width direction from an inner end portion of the first wall portion and inclined downward in a vehicle-height direction from the inner end portion of the first wall portion, and a third wall portion extending inward in the vehicle width direction from an inner end portion of the second wall portion inward in the vehicle width direction and being fixed to a lower surface of a battery case.

An axle assembly for a low floor vehicle is described herein. The axle assembly includes an axle housing and a drive unit for driving a wheel assembly. The drive unit includes an axle shaft, a wheel end assembly, an electric machine, and a transmission unit. The axle shaft extends along an axle centerline axis between a first axle end and a second axle end. The wheel end assembly is coupled to the first axle end. The electric machine is positioned within the axle housing and includes a rotor shaft, a drive pinion coupled to the rotor shaft, and an electric motor for rotating the rotor shaft. The rotor shaft extends along a rotor shaft centerline axis that is orientated parallel to the axle centerline axis. The transmission unit is positioned within the axle housing and is configured to transfer torque from the electric machine to the axle shaft.

A sunken wheel-side motor drive axle that includes an axle beam assembly, two drive motor assemblies, two reducer assemblies and two hub assemblies. The two drive motor assemblies, two reducer assemblies and two hub assemblies are respectively disposed at left and right ends of the axle beam assembly. Moreover, the drive motor assemblies are symmetrically disposed at a bottom of the left and right ends of the axle beam assembly respectively; and the drive motor assemblies transmit power to the reducer assemblies, and the reducer assemblies drive the hub assemblies to rotate.
