AIR GUIDES FOR VEHICLES

An air guide for a vehicle having a pair of side members. The air guide includes a base member having a pair of opposing ends and a pair of attachment members configured to be coupled to the pair of side members. Each of the pair of attachment members are coupled to a respective opposing end of the base member for movement between a folded position, an unfolded position, and an attachment position between the folded position and the unfolded position.

DEPLOYABLE SPLASH GUARD SYSTEMS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES

Exemplary deployable splash guard systems for motor vehicles may include features designed for blocking road spray. The deployable splash guard systems may include a flap that is movable between a stowed position and a deployed position for blocking the road spray. In the deployed position, the flap is positioned within a spray field of a tire of the motor vehicle and is therefore positioned to block the road spray from spraying onto a door handle and/or other structures of the motor vehicle. A control module of the deployable splash guard system may be programmed to utilize a sensor weighting scheme for accurately determining when to deploy the flap.

VEHICLE PROTECTION SYSTEM TO SECURE A PROTECTIVE COVERING TO AN AXLE OF A VEHICLE

A system for protecting the body and frame of a vehicle from flying debris, particularly during a tire blowout includes a mounting apparatus configured to secure a protective shield, which may be a protective plate and/or fender, to an axle of a vehicle. In embodiments, the protective plate may be mounted to the axel via a mounting apparatus, and the fender may further be mounted to the mounting apparatus and/or protective plate. In some embodiments, the protective plate may be mounted directly to the axel, and the fender may further be mounted to the protective plate, whereby the plate may serve as the mounting apparatus.

CAR WITH WHEEL FAIRING

A car having: two front wheels; two rear wheels; a body, which has two front wheel compartments, each housing, on the inside, a corresponding front wheel, and two rear wheel compartments, each housing, on the inside, a corresponding rear wheel; and two covering panels, each arranged in the area of a corresponding wheel compartment to close the wheel compartment. Each covering panel is mounted on the body so as to be movable between a contracted position, in which the covering panel is completely flush with the body, and an expanded position, in which the covering panel is at least partially spaced apart from the body. Two actuator devices are provided, each coupled to a corresponding covering panel so as to move the covering panel between the contracted position and the expanded position.

A removably attachable fender flare system has an inner flare and an upper flare and a lower flare, which are removably attachable to the inner flare. The upper and lower flare may have traction protrusions to provide traction to free a stuck off-road vehicle. The inner flare may be in direct contact with and coupled to the off-road vehicle, providing a location to secure the upper and lower flares. The upper flare and lower flare may couple to a groove, which runs the length of the inner flare, from front to back. Further, the lower flare may couple to the upper flare, securing the fender flares.

SPRING-BIASED MUD FLAP HANGER WITH IMPROVED PIVOTING MOTION GUIDANCE

Systems and methods for controlling movement of a mudflap hanger arm, to reliably return from a deflected position to a resting position, while providing improved manufacturability and reduced corrosion and wear through the use of guidance surfaces on a mounting plate and a frame seat that form the interface between the hanger arm and a vehicle frame. When the hanger arm pivots about an axis on one side of the mounting plate and frame seat, guidance surfaces on the opposite side are in contact or near-contact, preventing the mounting plate and frame seat from being laterally displaced or rotated with respect to each other. The improved mounting plate and frame seat can reduce or eliminate manufacturing operations such as welding, coating, etc., reducing the cost of the apparatus, while enhancing manufacturability and operation.
