Tractor fender assembly
10730565 · 2020-08-04 · ·

A fender assembly for an agricultural tractor including a carrier bracket which supports a wheel fender adjacent to a vehicle wheel. A steering mechanism is provided as part of the fender assembly, such that the wheel fender can be rotated relative to the carrier bracket. Accordingly, the rotation of the wheel fender can be controlled based on a steering signal generated by the vehicle steering system, to ensure that the wheel fender accurately follows the movement of the adjacent tractor wheel.

REMOVABLY ATTACHABLE FENDER FLARE TO BE USED AS A RECOVERY BOARD
20200231220 · 2020-07-23 ·

A removably attachable fender flare system has an inner flare and an upper flare and a lower flare, which are removably attachable to the inner flare. The upper and lower flare may have traction protrusions to provide traction to free a stuck off-road vehicle. The inner flare may be in direct contact with and coupled to the off-road vehicle, providing a location to secure the upper and lower flares. The upper flare and lower flare may couple to a groove, which runs the length of the inner flare, from front to back. Further, the lower flare may couple to the upper flare, securing the fender flares.

TRAILER CART

A trailer cart includes a frame having a front end, a rear end and sides. A wheel assembly is attached to the frame. The wheel assembly includes an axle and a pair of wheels. A tongue is attached to and extends from the front end of the frame. The tongue includes a trailer coupler configured to secure to a trailer ball. A winch assembly is attached to the trailer. The winch assembly includes an upright post and a winch attached to the upright post. The winch assembly is attached to at least one of the tongue and the frame and is disposed near the front end of the frame.

Live bottom truck/trailer mud flap lift system
10683041 · 2020-06-16 · ·

A mud flap lifting system specifically for a live bottom type trailer vehicle in which asphalt or similar is dispensed from the rear of the trailer load box for a paving operation using a paving machine in tandem with the trailer. Pneumatic lift cylinders on each side of the trailer load box are used to retract and extend cables running rearwardly from the cylinders to and through cable guides positioned vertically above the mud flaps. The cables are operable to pull or lift the lower portions of the mud flaps upwardly and outwardly into curved configurations located above a paving machine roller as it engages the rear wheels of the trailer, and at a height designed to engage the paving machine hopper as it engages the trailer.

Active and passive systems for wheelhouse air deflection

An exemplary automotive vehicle includes a body having a wheelhouse, the wheelhouse including a wheelhouse edge defining a wheelhouse opening, and a wheel disposed in the wheelhouse opening, a suspension system including a suspension component adjacent to the wheelhouse, the suspension component configured to vertically deflect during vehicle operation, an aerodynamic system including an aerodynamic member disposed within the wheelhouse opening and coupled to the suspension component, the aerodynamic member having a first position with respect to the wheelhouse edge and the wheel and a second position with respect to the wheelhouse edge and the wheel, wherein the aerodynamic member moves from the first position to the second position with deflection of the suspension component such that a distance between the aerodynamic member and the wheel is greater when the aerodynamic member is in the second position than when the aerodynamic member is in the first position.

A LOCKING MECHANISM FOR A ROTATING MUDGUARD ASSEMBLY

A rotating mudguard assembly having fixed and rotating parts includes a locking mechanism to limit the relative movement between the fixed and rotating parts of the assembly. The locking mechanism has a locking pin which can selectively engage with a locking plate, the pin and the plate on respective parts of the rotating mudguard assembly. The locking mechanism may be an integral part of the assembly, or the locking mechanism may be a kit of parts for installation on or retrofitting to an assembly.

Fender assembly for a tractor
10526031 · 2020-01-07 · ·

A fender assembly for a tractor, as well as a tractor having such a fender assembly. The fender assembly is constructed as first and second fender parts, connected via a rail. The rail has a partial spiral or helical shape. As a result, the second fender part is moveable on the rail along a path substantially parallel to a portion of the circumference of a wheel of the tractor, in a direction downwardly and outwardly relative to the first fender part. This provides a fender assembly allowing for improved access to tractor components located inboard of the fender assembly, as well as allowing for ease of access to the second fender part for an operator standing on the ground adjacent the tractor.

Aerodynamic system for a wheel housing of a vehicle

An aerodynamic system for a wheel housing of a vehicle that according to one embodiment includes a flap that can be displaced between a deployed position and a retracted position, a rotating actuator, and a transmission mechanism coupled to the actuator and configured for transmitting the movement of the actuator to the flap. The aerodynamic system also includes at least one air flow shutter device in the wheel housing, where the shutter device faces at least one air duct and where the shutter device can be displaced between a closed position and an open position. The transmission mechanism is also configured for transmitting the movement of the actuator to the shutter device.

MUD GUARD CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR VEHICLES AND METHODS OF CONTROLLING MUD GUARDS

A vehicle includes a mud guard control system including a speed sensor configured to provide a signal indicative of speed to a controller. The controller is configured to instruct an actuator to move a mud guard from a stowed configuration to a deployed configuration based on the signal from the speed sensor when the speed of the vehicle is below a predetermined threshold value.
