SWING AND DROP TAILGATE

A swing and drop tailgate is configured to undergo two distinct motions, each with advantages depending on circumstances. The swing and drop tailgate can undergo a rotation motion about a hinge, as well as a swing down motion via a linkage. The swing down motion allows closer access to the bed, and extends less far from the rear of the vehicle as compared to the drop motion. The motions may be manually controlled, or actuator controlled. One or more latches may constrain motion, or prevent, of the tailgate. A tailgate assembly may include a post assembly and a tailgate, that may move together as a rigid body when dropping, or move relative to one another when swinging.

Truck bed height extension assemblies and pickup trucks having the same

A truck bed height extension assembly for a pickup truck includes a truck bed and a pair of side panels. The truck bed includes a floor and a pair of spaced apart sidewalls. Each of the pair of spaced apart sidewalls includes an exterior wall, an opposite interior wall, and an elongated cavity positioned between the exterior wall and the interior wall of each of the pair of sidewalls. The pair of side panels are linearly displaceable in a vehicle vertical direction between a retracted position and an extended position. In the retracted position, each of the pair of side panels are positioned within the elongated cavity defined in each of the pair of sidewalls. In the extended position, each of the pair of side panels are positioned to extended at least partially outside of the elongated cavity of each of the pair of sidewalls.

Volume expansion assembly for pickup truck box

A truck box assembly including a sidewall, a pair of doors, and a support assembly is provided. The sidewall may define an opening to provide clearance for a wheel house. Each of the pair of doors extends from one side of the opening. The support assembly may be mounted to a truck box and support the sidewall as the sidewall moves between retracted and expanded positions. Each of the doors may be moveable between an open position and a closed position filling the opening in the expanded position. The support assembly may include a mount post secured to the truck box at a standard interface plate (SIP) bracket and a horizontal member extending from the mount post and secured to the truck box at a stake pocket hole.

A rear gate arranged at a rear end of a cargo bed of a truck includes: a support frame arranged at the rear end of the cargo bed and extending along a vehicle width direction; a pair of first and second gate frame bodies arranged at both ends in the vehicle width direction of the support frame; and a first divided gate and a second divided gate supported openably from the first and second gate frame bodies. The rear gate includes a pair of first and second opening/closing switching units configured to switch an opened/closed state of the rear gate. Operation levers of the first and second opening/closing switching units are operated to switch among a vertical opening state, a horizontal opening state, and a locked state restricting from the vertical opening and the horizontal opening.

Dump unit

A dump unit comprises a main chassis (2); a metallic body (3) for containing a bulk material, wherein the bulk material can be discharged from one end of the metallic body; a hydraulic actuator (8) for lifting the discharge end of the metallic body with respect to the chassis; and at least one metallic conveyor (E) located on the floor of the body (3), which is operable to discharge the bulk material from the body.

This invention is a retractable cargo wall for flatbed trucks and trailers that lowers into an enclosure that may be rollup canister or tray. Once the cargo walls are lowered, the posts supporting the walls may collapse into the bed, thereby transforming a bed with cargo walls into a flatbed. It is also anticipate that a truck or trailer bed with posts can be transformed into a flatbed truck or trailer.

Vehicle body barrier

A vehicle body barrier has a vertical support, a first non-movable board and a second non-movable board. The vertical support is configured to be received in a vehicle body. The first non-movable board is fixedly attached to the vertical support. The second non-movable board is fixedly attached to the vertical support and is vertically spaced from the first non-movable board. The movable board is movably connected to the first non-movable board between a primarily offset position and a primarily overlapping position. The movable board is disposed between the first and second non-movable boards in the primarily offset position.
