Trailer hitch
A trailer hitch for hitching a trailer to a motor vehicle is disclosed wherein the motor vehicle has a chassis supported by axles suspended from the motor vehicle chassis, the trailer has a chassis supported by one or more axles suspended from the trailer chassis, and the trailer hitch is adapted to hitch the trailer chassis to the motor vehicle chassis for movement therewith and also cause the trailer chassis to help support the motor vehicle chassis to a variable degree via the trailer hitch and in a manner determined by the spring action provided by the trailer axle suspension system(s). And wherein the trailer hitch is also adapted to allow the hitched trailer chassis to turn with respect to the motor vehicle chassis and prevent such turning and to stow a hitched trailer chassis on the motor vehicle.
Trailer apparatuses having traverse hydraulic tail
A tail trailer includes a main deck mounted on a main frame, a main tail pivotally connected to a rearward end of the main deck and a flip tail pivotally secured to a rearward end of the main tail. The flip tail is movable between a folded position beneath the main tail and an unfolded position extending outwardly from the rearward end of the main tail. A lifting and holding assembly is provided between the main frame and the main tail for pivotally moving and maintaining a desired position of the main tail and the flip tail relative to the main deck. A combined locking and supporting arrangement beneath the main tail provides ground engaging support for the main tail, and also provides locking engagement for holding the flip tail in the folded position.
Suspension assembly for multi-position ramp
A suspension assembly includes an axle pivoting plate mounted to the frame at a first pivot point and rotationally fixed to the axle. Also included is a connection arm having a first end onto which the wheel is mounted and a second end for rotationally fixing the axle to the connection arm. An actuator is pivotally connected to the frame at a second pivot point, and is pivotally connected to the axle pivoting plate at a third pivot point. The first pivot point, the second pivot point and the third pivot point are all located below the lower surface of the side rail. When the actuator is extended, the axle pivoting plate pivots about the first pivot point causing the axle and connection arm to swing rearwardly and rotate, causing the wheel to move vertically with respect to the frame to displace the trailer to a lowered position.
Convertible trailer
A trailer convertible between step deck trailer and flatbed trailer configurations includes a frame, wheel and axle assemblies supported on the frame, an upper deck at the front of the frame, a lower deck configured for vertical movement on a vertical slide rail from a first step deck position to a second raised flatbed position wherein the lower deck and the upper deck are coplanar; a controller actuatable for upward and downward movement of the lower deck; at least one locking support beam; and landing gear deployable to support the convertible trailer while it is parked for loading. An air lift jack assembly is configured to raise the lower deck, and an air pressure release valve is configured to release air pressure to lower the lower deck, in response to actuation of the controller. The wheel and axle assemblies may be configured for forward-backward movement and/or upward-downward movement.
Half-Round Cargo Container and Trailer
A half-round cargo container comprises a plurality of curved panels and has a longitudinal axis. Each curved panel has a cross-sectional profile in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, wherein the respective cross-sectional profiles of the curved panels have curved shapes with a common curvature. Adjacent pairs of the curved panels are joined at respective abutting longitudinal edges parallel to the longitudinal axis to form a semi-cylindrical shell. The half-round cargo container has a top opening.
TRAILER
The invention relates to a trailer, in particular an expandable trailer, comprising: a trailer body, comprising a chassis and a bodywork, at least one wheel axle for at least one pair of wheels, wherein the wheel axle is displaceably coupled with the trailer body such that wheel axle is displaceable between an initial position and a stowed position.
Split tilt deck trailer and associated systems and methods
The disclosed devices, systems and methods relate to a split-tilt deck trailer. A tilting deck and stationary deck are disposed in parallel on the trailer to provide a tilting deck for the loading of various equipment and providing an elongate stationary platform simultaneously.
