A bogie axle assembly for a vehicle, in particular for an off-highway vehicle such as a forestry machine, the bogie axle assembly comprising: a rigid link arm; a first joint disposed on the link arm for pivotally coupling the link arm to a vehicle frame; a second joint disposed on the link arm, at a distance from the first joint; a bogie pivotally coupled to the link arm via the second joint; and a ground engaging structure comprising one or more wheels rotatably mounted on the bogie. The present disclosure further relates to a vehicle comprising said bogie axle assembly.

Blast mitigating restraint system

A torsion bar restraint system for tracked combat vehicles that aids in the improvement of occupant survival rates when associated with asymmetric threats. The blast mitigating restraint system can reduce the dynamic deflection of torsion bars based on the severity of the blast impulse as needed. Systems comprise one or more components that secure the torsion bar to the hull for protecting against dynamic deflection and lateral displacement. The two disclosed components, an end restraint device and an M-Ring restraining device, can be used in conjunction or independently from each other based on the type of threat likely to be encountered.

Track wheel suspension for a construction machine

A track wheel suspension for a construction machine is provided including a track wheel engageable to a track, a swing device, a swing bar and a restraining mechanism for at least restraining a movement of the swing device about a swing axis in at least a first direction.

STEERING SYSTEM OF VEHICLE
20200180686 · 2020-06-11 ·

A steering system of a vehicle is provided. The steering system adjusts the torsional rigidity of a torsion bar without limitation as to the configuration thereof and performs active control responding to the vehicle state by adjusting steering characteristics by controlling the torsional rigidity of the torsion bar based on the traveling condition, load state or driving mode of the vehicle. The steering system includes an MR assist device, which is coupled to an end portion of the torsion bar and adjusts the rotation and torsional rigidity of the torsion bar using an MR fluid as a working fluid.

Track wheel suspension for a construction machine
10661847 · 2020-05-26 · ·

A track wheel suspension for a construction machine is introduced. The track wheel suspension includes a track wheel engageable to a track and a swing device including a first coupling portion. The first coupling portion is arranged for rotatably supporting the track wheel. Furthermore, the track 5 wheel suspension including a swing bar with a first bar end which is arranged for being mounted to a second coupling portion of the swing device. The swing bar provides a swing axis which is offset from a rotation axis of the track wheel such that a swing movement of the swing device enables a movement of the track wheel in a direction which is substantially perpendicular to the rotation axis.

VEHICLE WITH AN ACTUATOR FOR ADJUSTING A LIMITER STRAP
20200016950 · 2020-01-16 ·

A vehicle comprises a chassis, a seat, an endless drive track, a rear suspension assembly with at least one slide rail and a substantially inextensible limiter strap extending between the chassis and the at least one slide rail, to limit separation between the at least one slide rail and the chassis. The strap holder is moveable between a first holder position and a second holder position, a position of the end of the limiter strap being different in the first strap holder position compared to the second strap holder position. A control cable is operatively connects the strap holder to a strap adjustment actuator. The strap adjustment actuator is disposed forward of the seat and is operable by a user during operation of the vehicle, the strap adjustment actuator being movable between first and second positions related to the positions of the strap holder.

Apparatus for mounting a track frame to a frame of a power machine

Disclosed embodiments include power machines, track frame assemblies, and apparatus for mounting a track frame assembly to a frame of a power machine. In various disclosed embodiments, mounting structures mount a track frame to the machine frame. In some exemplary embodiments, each mounting structure includes two torsional joints and at least three non-torsional joints between the machine frame and the corresponding track frame. The two torsional joints can be provided by torsion shafts and the corresponding attachments to front and rear arms. In exemplary embodiments, the at least three non-torsional joints are substantially free to rotate and can include a joint between a front axle and the track frame, a joint between a rear axle and a link, and a joint between a link pin and the track frame. In some exemplary embodiments, the front or rear arms are oriented relative to corresponding torsion shafts to improve performance.

Drive sprocket for a tracked utility vehicle

A drive sprocket for driving a track of a utility track vehicle is provided. The drive sprocket includes a pair of spaced-apart inner rings having a spacer fixedly attached between the inner rings. An adapter is attached to an outwardly-directed surface of one of the inner rings. A plurality of rods are attached in a spaced-apart manner about the outer peripheral edge of the inner rings. A guide ring is attached to each end of the rods in a perpendicular manner, wherein the guide rings are substantially parallel to the inner rings.

A mower includes a pair of track assemblies positioned on either side of a chassis. The track assemblies include drive wheels coupled to axles driven by an engine. A rocker rigidly mounts to the chassis independently of the engagement of the drive wheel with the axle. The rocker rotatably mounts to a mounting flange fastened to the chassis and includes a plurality of axles to which bogie wheels are mounted. The rocker is vertically below the axle and may be longitudinally centered on the axle or may be asymmetric with respect to the axle. All weight transferred is transferred to a track surrounding the drive wheel and bogie wheels through the rocker assembly engaging the chassis and no weight is transferred to the axle. A suspension may mount the track assembly to the chassis and the track may be long enough to replace front and back wheels.
