The present invention relates to a method for portion-packing of an oral pouched snuff product (1′, 1″). The method comprises a) supplying and advancing a tubular web (19, 19′, 19″) of packaging material enveloping a continuous feed (23, 23′, 23a″, 23b″) of filling material in a direction of travel (L), b) forming transverse seals (39) in the tubular web across the continuous feed of filling material by means of ultrasonic welding, the transverse seals extending in a transverse direction (T) being perpendicular to the direction of travel. The present invention further relates to an arrangement (17, 17′, 17″) for portion-packing of an oral pouched snuff product.

MODULAR STAND-ALONE ULTRASONIC SEALING SYSTEM

A modular stand-alone ultrasonic bag sealing system has an ultrasonic sealer assembly that utilizes a sonotrode, an anvil that are actuated together to form a bag seal in a bag configured therebetween. The system also has an integral control system that is physically configured on the housing of the system and runs a control software. The control software is configured to control the ultrasonic sealer assembly to close and open to seal bags. The controller may have a plurality of signal inputs for receiving input signals from a bag feeder assembly or from an auxiliary machine. The system may also have an integral bag feeder assembly that has an index roller for feeding a bag to the ultrasonic sealer assembly. The system is configured for quick integration into a process line and has versatility of communication through the control software and signal inputs and outputs.

The nip rollers are positioned on either side of a product pathway on which products being packaged travel. The packaging forming system can include a top sheet material guide system that is configured to feed a top sheet material and a bottom sheet material guide system that is configured to feed a bottom sheet material to the nip rollers to form sides of packages around one or more products traveling along the pathway. The packaging forming system can include an adjustable table in communication with the controller and positioned along the pathway to provide support to the product being packaged such that the height of the table is movable to adjust a height position of each individual product to be packaged relative to the nip rollers.

The machine includes a first driving assembly for moving the film tube in the forward movement direction at a second forward movement speed, and a transverse sealing and cutting tool for transversely sealing and cutting the film tube, a package being obtained as a result. The machine also includes a second driving assembly located upstream the longitudinal sealing tool and configured for moving the re-closable strip at a third forward movement speed, the first, second and third forward movement speeds being equal.

There is described a packaging assembly configured to form and seal a plurality of packs for containing a pourable food product starting from a tube of packaging material; the packaging assembly comprises a pair of tracks and at least a pair of moving elements, which are cyclically movable along the tracks, respectively; each moving element comprises one forming unit configured to cooperate with the tube so as to surround a portion of the tube destined to form a main portion of one respective pack; and one sealing unit configured to cooperate with the tube to sequentially seal the tube at predetermined consecutive cross sections, each pair of consecutive cross sections forming opposite sealing bands of one respective pack; each forming unit is mounted onto the respective moving element in a linearly movable manner towards and away from the sealing unit mounted onto the same moving element.
