A labeling apparatus comprises a separation member configured to promote detachment of an adhesive label from liner web. Adhesive labels are fed to the separation member such that a surface of the facestock contacts the separation member. The separation member has a surface exhibiting a tack such that the tack force between the facestock and the separation member is greater than the release force between the release liner and the adhesive layer of the labels. The labels become associated with the separation member, and the label is applied to a surface of a substrate by contacting the exposed adhesive layer with a surface of a substrate, which causes the adhesive label to detach from the separation member.

A production system includes: a production unit that produces prints with which products are to be tagged; an information acquisition unit that acquires defect information that is information on defect of tagged products that are products tagged with prints; and a changing unit that changes conditions of production of prints in the production unit based on the defect information acquired by the information acquisition unit.

Provided is a label fitting system which can, even if a container has a narrowed portion, appropriately fit a cylindrical label to the outer periphery of the container. A label fitting system is provided with a label arrangement mechanism which pushes down a cylindrical label having been supplied to a location above a cylindrical container and is disposed about the outer periphery of the cylindrical label. The label arrangement mechanism is provided with a vertically movable annular base and a plurality of legs extending downward from the base. The legs have elasticity which enables the legs to be displaced radially, and have lower ends coming into contact with the upper end of the cylindrical label. When the base descends, the lower ends of the legs push down the cylindrical label while descending along the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical container.

An automatic, high speed labeling machine is provided for applying individual labels to large and variable size produce items. The label strips used are much larger and heavier than known label strips used for small produce such as apples and pears. The increased weight causes label strip overrun when the labeler is paused and also causes slippage of the label strip. A label strip deflector is provided which causes the larger and heavier label strip to fold back on itself rather than to overrun and foul the application of labels. The drive rollers are modified to eliminate slippage of the heavier label strip.

The arrangement provides a robotic arm having at least one movable joint that allows the robotic arm to move about several axes. At the end of the robotic arm is a spindle that has several spring loaded patch applicators connected. The arrangement also includes a patch dispensing apparatus that the arrangements uses along with the robotic arm to place patches over holes in a vehicle part. The arrangement also provides a verification method to make sure the holes have been properly covered.

A multi-layer label and methods for assembling a multi-layer label. A carrier material with a first label and a second label removably adhered thereto is provided. The first label and second label are dispensed from the carrier, joined together, and applied to a surface, whereby after application the underside of the first label is in contact with the surface and the undersurface of the second label is in contact with the top side of the first label.

The labelling apparatus includes a first motor configured to drive movement of one or more tags of a plurality of tags from a first tray holding the plurality of tags to an intersection point and a second motor configure to drive movement of a sheet from a second tray to the intersection point and about an edge at the intersection point. The sheet includes a plurality of labels positioned on a backing. Movement of the sheet about the edge causes one or more labels to peel from the backing at the intersection point. The first motor and the second motor are configured to drive movement of the one or more tags and the sheet so that the one or more tags engage the one or more labels peeled from the backing at the intersection point.

An apparatus for applying self-adhesive labels includes a supporting base for at least one reel of a ribbon that supports self-adhesive labels, elements of feeding the ribbon to a head for applying the self-adhesive labels, and a device for taking up the ribbon. The application head can move on command about an orientation axis in order to vary its own direction of extension with respect to the unwinding direction of the ribbon from the reel. The feeder elements include at least one redirection roller, the rotation axis of which can rotate on command, with respect to the reel, about an adjustment axis that is substantially parallel to the orientation axis in order to bring the direction of extension of the ribbon at the application head.

A production system acquires a plan of production of plural types of products to he produced through sequential attachment of prints, determines an order of production of the prints to be attached to the plural types of products, respectively, and produces the prints in the determined production order.
