PINEAPPLE-SHAPED BOTTLE FOR BEVERAGES
A pineapple-shaped bottle has a main body part configured to enclose an inner space for accommodating a beverage and having an opening, and a cover which is configured to close and to open at least partially the main body part so that the bottle is supported on its bottom, and to be removed and placed underneath the main body part of the bottle so that in such a position it support the bottle from below, with the main body part and the cover having interengaging formations engageable with each other in this position.
CONTAINER PROVIDED WITH A CONVEX INVERTIBLE DIAPHRAGM
Disclosed is a container, made of plastic material, and provided with a base including a standing ring forming a support flange, an inner wall, a diaphragm and a central portion, the diaphragm being capable of standing in an outwardly-inclined position. The diaphragm connects to the standing ring at an outer junction, and connects to the central portion at an inner junction. The diaphragm is invertible with respect to the standing ring from the outwardly-inclined position to an inwardly-inclined position. In the outwardly-inclined position, the whole diaphragm is curved in radial section, with a concavity turned inwards with respect to the container. The diaphragm has a depth strictly greater than 1 mm.
Ergonomically advantageous container
Containers are disclosed herein that include a reservoir, a handle disposed on the reservoir at an angle defined by a grip axis. The handle is configured for a single grip position and having a midpoint that coincides with a midpoint of a user's grip when the handle is gripped by a user. A first center of gravity coincident with a resting axis is substantially perpendicular to the bottom wall when the bottom wall is placed on a horizontal surface. A second center of gravity coincident with a carrying axis is substantially perpendicular to the grip axis when the container is carried by the handle.
Tamper evidence bridges
An apparatus and a method are provided for a container cap comprising a plurality of tamper evidence bridges configured to provide evidence that the container cap has been removed from a container by other than a manufacturer of the container. The tamper evidence bridges comprise a small tab of material that extends from a bottom-most edge of the container cap to a neck ring of the container. The tamper evidence bridges are configured to break, or snap, when the container cap is rotated relative to the neck ring. Broken tamper evidence bridges provide readily visible evidence to an end-user of the container that the container cap has been removed by other than the manufacturer of the container. The high visibility of the tamper evidence bridges serves to discourage vendors from attempting to refill and resale of the used containers.
Heat-set container and mold system thereof
A heat-set container that defines a longitudinal axis is disclosed that includes a finish and a sidewall portion extending from the finish. The container also includes a base portion extending from the sidewall portion and enclosing said sidewall portion to form a volume therein for retaining a commodity. The base portion has a plurality of contact surfaces for supporting the container. The plurality of contact surfaces are spaced away from each other about the longitudinal axis. Also, the container includes a central pushup portion disposed in the base portion and extending generally toward the finish. The central pushup portion is substantially centered on the longitudinal axis, and the central pushup portion is moveable in response to internal vacuum pressure to decrease the volume.
METHOD OF HANDLING A PLASTIC CONTAINER HAVING A MOVEABLE BASE
A plastic container comprises an upper portion including a finish defining an opening into the container, a lower portion including a base defining a standing surface, a sidewall extending between the upper portion and the lower portion, the sidewall defining a longitudinal axis, and at least one substantially transversely-oriented pressure panel located in the lower portion. The pressure panel is movable between an outwardly-inclined position and an inwardly-inclined position to compensate for a change of pressure inside the container. The standing surface defines a standing plane, and the entire pressure panel is located between the standing plane and the upper portion of the container when the pressure panel is in the outwardly-inclined position.
Pet composition, pet preform, refillable pet bottle and methods for making the same
A polyethylene terephthalate composition (PET), an injection-molded bottle preform made from a PET composition, a refillable PET container blow-molded from the preform, catalyst compositions used for making the PET composition, methods for making the PET composition, methods for injection-molding a PET bottle preform, methods for blow-molding a refillable PET bottle from a preform and methods for improving the rewash stability and recyclability of refillable PET bottles particularly for carbonated soft drinks are disclosed. The polyethylene terephthalate composition includes a polyester resin containing terephthalic acid, isophthalic acid, ethylene glycol and cyclohexane dimethanol and residual amount of catalytic composition comprising Sb and Ti. The polyethylene terephthalate composition is especially useful for large blow moldings and provides a change in the fill point volume after 5 wash cycles of a 2.5 liter blow molded bottle of 14 ml or less.
PLASTIC CONTAINER HAVING A DEEP-SET INVERTIBLE BASE AND RELATED METHODS
Lightweight Container Base
A container defining a longitudinal axis and a transverse direction that is transverse with respect to the longitudinal axis. The container includes a finish and a sidewall portion extending from the finish. A plurality of ribs are defined by the sidewall. A base portion extends from the sidewall portion and encloses the sidewall portion to form a volume therein for retaining a commodity. The base portion has a contact surface for supporting the container. A plurality of straps extend radially along the base portion away from the longitudinal axis in the transverse direction, each one of the straps defines a strap surface that is closer to the finish than the contact surface. The plurality of ribs and the base portion are configured to place the container in a state of hydraulic charge-up when top load is applied to the container after the container is filled.
Container having a mini-petal-shaped bottom with transverse grooves
Container made of plastic material includes a body and a petal-shaped bottom (3) extending the body, the bottom (3) having a bottom wall (4) of general convex shape toward the outside of the container, from which feet (7) formed by protrusions project, separated two by two by portions of the bottom wall (4) forming recessed valleys (12) that extend radially to a periphery (8) of the bottom (3), the bottom (3) also including, in each valley (12), in the vicinity of the periphery (8) of the bottom (3), at least one groove (17, 18) that extends transversely relative to the radial direction of extension of the valley (12).
