The disclosure relates to a method and apparatus for manufacturing a package with a rigid or semi-rigid container and a polymeric or plastic header with a reclosure, such as a zipper. The rigid or semi-rigid container is typically provided in a stack of flat containers. The header is sealed, glued or otherwise secured to the containers. The container, typically inverted, is filled, and the bottom is formed by folding and sealing the bottom portion of the container.

Storage bags for securing items at a specified location are provided. The storage bags are provided with two independent securing mechanisms, a first mechanism for securing the opening to the bag, and a second mechanism for securing the bag to a location. The securing mechanism for the bag opening may be formed of a lockable zipper or flap of material. The lock may be independent of the operation of the latch closure such that it is closable only once the closure is secure. The securing mechanism for the location may comprise a strap, cable or chain that may be secured around an anchor point at the location and locked.

The present invention provides a device for packaging products in a foil package. The device comprises corner forming means for forming a number of folded and attached-together sections of foil material in a foil web, which sections extend outwardly in the longitudinal direction of the foil web, which sections each form a seam on the inner side of the foil web, packaging means, and transport means for transporting the foil web from a supply roll along the corner forming means and along the packaging means, respectively. The device further comprises application means for applying elongate closing elements perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the web to the inner side of the web, wherein the application means are provided between the corner forming means and the shaping means and are adapted to apply the elongate closing elements such that the closing elements cross at least some of the seams formed in the foil web by the corner forming means.

The present invention provides a method of making re-closable package (10) and a product made therefrom. The said method comprises providing a first web (46) and a second web (50), folding a predetermined portion (P) of the first web (46) into a V-shape (58) thereby forming an extended portion and cutting the V-shape (58) of the first web (46) to form a pair of extended panels (62). A re-closable zipper (42) sealed with the extended panels (62). The first web (46) sealed with the second web (50) at a first sealing zone (SZ1) and second sealing zone (SZ2). Subsequently, cut the first web (46) and the second web (50) at the first sealing zone (SZ1) thereby obtaining a re-closable package (10). The said re-closable package (10) comprising a first panel (14), a second panel (18) and optionally side gussets (22, 26) and a bottom gusset (30).
