20240327082 · 2024-10-03 ·

A flip-top closure includes first and second closure portions. The first closure portion includes a top wall portion with a tamper-evident winged section and a middle section, which are connected via a frangible connection. The winged section forms an undercut. The top wall portion includes a drivable structure to assist in threading the flip-top closure into a container. The second closure portion includes an annular skirt portion and a ledge. The annular skirt portion forms an external thread formation. The ledge includes at least one locking protrusion. A hinge connects the first and second closure portions. In an initially closed position, the undercut of the winged section corresponds with and lockingly engages with the locking protrusion. During movement of the hinge from the initially closed position to an open position, the frangible connection breaks leaving the winged section being lockingly engaged with the locking protrusion.

Modular system for inventory and transport efficiency of packaging

Disclosed herein are modular container systems having child-resistant containers, tray inserts and tray frames. Also disclosed are methods using the modular container systems and methods of storing substances in containers. The containers have a container base and a container cap and provide for child-resistant containers. A user can releasably remove the container cap from container base with a squeeze and lift sequence. For example, the user squeezes opposite sides of the container base, which releases a locking mechanism and allows for removal of the cap by lifting or pulling the container cap off from the container base. The components of the modular container system are modular and stackable. The modular system allow for organized, efficient, accessible and storage of the child-resistant containers. The modular container system also allows for easy counting, sorting and processing of the containers.

Container lid having selectively coverable access opening

A lid is provided that includes an access opening in a top wall thereof selectively coverable by a pivotable cover. The lid attaches to a foodstuff container and provides access to an interior of the container. The lid achieves this without requiring removal of the lid while also providing an impeded foodstuff dispense path having greater control. The cover pivots between open and closed positions, and in one form, can be secured in one or both positions. This can be achieved by releasably securing the cover to the top wall to hold the cover in the closed position and/or capturing a tab of the cover within a depression in an edge portion of the lid to hold the cover in the open position. The cover can further be integrally attached to the lid so that the cover is generally coplanar with the top wall when in the closed position.

CLOSABLE CONTAINER

Provided is a container including a container body and a cap. The container body has a mouth part defining an opening. The cap closes the opening. The cap includes a ring-shaped frame, a door lid, a gasket, and a biasing member. The frame is detachably attached to the mouth part. The door lid is coupled to the frame and rotates between a closed position to close the opening and an open position to open the opening. The gasket is attached to the frame or the door lid, is composed of an elastic material, and is interposed in a gap between the frame and the door lid so as to the gap when the door lid is at the closed position. The biasing member is composed of the same material as the gasket, is constituted integrally with the gasket, and biases the door lid toward the open position.

20180222645 · 2018-08-09 ·

A container system including manufacturing and assembling methods for coupling together a collapsible and expandable dispenser inside a lid of the container. The teachings allow a desired dispenser to be collapsed and housed, removed, expanded, replaced and stored in a lid, closure or packaging. A container system can include a reservoir for bulk product and a lid affixed to an opening of the container. An internal surface of the lid selectively connects to a collapsible dispensing utensil configured expand to an un-collapsed state so as to hold and dispense a predetermined amount of the product. The collapsible dispensing utensil is configured to be removed and reattached to the same interior surface of the lid so as to occupy a smaller volume within the lid as opposed to being disposed within the container along with the bulk product.
