Tamper-evident closure
A flip-top dispensing closure (10) is provided. The closure comprises: a base (12) connectable to a container neck (1); a lid (14) hingedly connected to the base so as to be movable between a closed position and an open position; and a dispensing member (20). The closure further comprises a tamper-indicating member (5). The tamper-indicating member (5) activates either: upon first opening of the lid (14); or if the base (12) is removed from the neck (1).
CLOSURE SYSTEM WITH HINGE HAVING UNIFORM THICKNESS AND ELEVATED CENTER
A closure system can include a body member, cap member, and flexible hinge member joining the body and cap members. The hinge member includes a pair of hinge portions with an opening between them. The hinge portions can include substantially planar segments of uniform thickness, providing hinge portions with uniform thickness along their lengths when the closure system is in open and closed configurations.
When the closure system is fully opened, the hinge portions can extend axially between the body and cap members when viewed from above, the substantially planar segments can include end segments that are substantially coplanar to each other and a central segment that occupies another plane parallel to that occupied by the end portions, giving the central portion of the hinge portion an elevated orientation relative to its end portions, or the appearance of a hump when viewed from the side.
Tab release child safety feature
A child-resistant container including a container body, a lid, and at least one resilient tab is provided. The lid is pivotable about an axis through a hinge joining the lid to the container body to open and close the container. The resilient tab has a proximal portion fixed to the lid, a distal portion projecting from the lid, and at least one abutment on the distal portion. The abutment on the distal portion of the tab is normally biased into engagement with an abutment on the container body when the lid is in its closed position. The distal portion of the tab is displaceable against the bias to disengage the abutment of the tab from the abutment of the container. Displacement of the tab releases the lid so that it can be pivoted about the hinge to open the container.
Lid assembly for a beverage container
A lid for use with a beverage container is described. The lid includes a lid body to fit into an opening of the beverage container. The lid includes a stopper that threadably engages with the lid body. A fluid passage is formed between the lid body and the stopper. The rotation of the stopper relative to the lid body provides an indication that the stopper and the lid body are in the open configuration and/or the removable configuration. The indication may include an audible indication, a tactile indication, or an increase in resistance.
CLOSING DEVICE FOR CONTAINERS AND ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A CONTAINER PROVIDED WITH SAID CLOSING DEVICE
The present invention refers to a closing device for a container, including a main body suited to be connected to the container and a lid hinged to the main body at the level of a hinge area. The lid includes an inner face facing towards the main body and an outer face opposite the inner face. The main body and the cover are made so that they are integral with each other and a through opening is made between the outer face and the inner face of the lid.
CLOSURE WITH A LOCKING RIM HAVING A SEALING RIB
A closure includes an annular base to be fixed to an upper rim of a container and a lid moveable relative to the annular base between a closed position and an open position. The annular base includes a peripheral skirt with an integral non-removable end portion adapted to be arranged over the upper rim of the container and a peripheral locking rim integrally formed on the end portion of the peripheral skirt. A proximal end of the peripheral locking rim is hingedly connected to the peripheral skirt, allowing the peripheral locking rim to be folded inwardly towards an inner surface of the end portion of the peripheral skirt and allowing the distal end to move beyond and engage under the peripheral ledge of the container to lock the annular base to the upper rim of the container. The locking rim includes a surface radially inwardly and circumferentially extending sealing rib.
In or relating to tamper-evident closures
A tamper-evident closure (10) for a container is provided. The closure (10) comprises a base (20) attachable to a container neck (50). The base (20) comprises a sidewall (21) having a tamper-evident drop band (40). The band includes an abutment (43) for engaging the container neck to cause the band to break away from the sidewall if an attempt is made to remove the closure from the neck once fitted. The band (40) further comprises an extension (45) against which the sidewall pushes if the closure is reapplied to push the band (40) away from the base (20).
ATTACHMENT FOR A WASHING OR RINSING AGENT BOTTLE
An attachment for a washing or rinsing agent bottle. The attachment is made from a main component and at least one auxiliary component in a multicomponent injection casting method, wherein a seal element is molded using the auxiliary component. The main component or the auxiliary component has a marker which causes a contrast between the auxiliary component and the main component under UV light or IR light. The invention also relates to a method for producing such an attachment.
Container apparatus
A container apparatus including a container and a sleeve with pre-weakened areas to facilitate detaching the sleeve from the container. The container may include a body and a cap coupled thereto. The sleeve may include tamper evident features and may maintain the container in a closed and packaged state prior to purchase and use by a consumer. The sleeve may include different pre-weakened or perforated sections to permit the consumer to remove a first portion of the sleeve to permit the user to open the container and use the product therein without also removing a second portion of the sleeve which may contain product information. The sleeve may then include an additional pre-weakened or perforated section to permit the consumer to remove the second portion of the sleeve after the container is empty for sustainability purposes so that the container is more readily recyclable.
Closure combination
A closure combination (101) comprising a dispensing closure body (102) and a container neck (103). The dispensing closure body (102) and container neck (103) comprise co-operable screw threads (104, 105) that allow the dispensing closure body (102) to be screwed onto the container neck (103) into an engaged condition. The co-operable screw threads (104, 105) prevent the dispensing closure body (102) from being unscrewed from the container neck (103) after the dispensing closure body (102) has been screwed onto the container neck (103) into a locked condition. A dispensing closure body (102) comprising an internal screw thread (10) that comprises a reversed-thread run out portion (107). A container with a container neck (103) comprising an external screw thread (105) that comprises a reversed-thread run out portion (108). A method of providing a tamper-resistance container closure combination (101).
