A resealable bag includes a first end, a second end, a first transverse seal sealing the first end and a second transverse seal sealing the second end. The second transverse seal is part of a weak seal zone of the bag that can be readily unsealed by a consumer by hand. The bag further includes a third transverse seal between the first transverse seal and the second transverse seal, closer to the second transverse seal than the first transverse seal. The third transverse seal is at least partially longitudinally aligned with the second transverse seal and can be selectively unsealed and resealed by the consumer by hand. In one embodiment, a fourth transverse seal is located between the first transverse seal and the second transverse seal, while being at least partially transversely aligned with the third transverse seal, and part of a strong seal zone of the bag.

The container may include a film, a tack weld joining a first outer portion of a first edge and a second outer portion of the first edge, and a fin seal joining a first inner portion of the first edge of the film and a second inner portion of a second edge of the film. The container may include a faceplate integrally molded to an outer layer of a first end portion of the film. The faceplate may include substantially the same composition as an outer layer of the first end portion, such that no distinct layers are formed between the faceplate and the film. The tack weld may be formed at a tack welding system, and the fin seal may be formed at a fin sealing system having a mandrel.

The container comprises a bag made from a flexible, liquid-impermeable material and has a flexible body portion for containing a consumable liquid and a flexible neck portion with a hermetically sealed mouth. The mouth is for dispensing the consumable liquid upon when opened. The neck portion is in a stored position, tucked inside-out inside the body portion. The tucking results in a continuous fold in the bag. The container also comprises a closure for holding together opposite sides of the bag at the continuous fold to maintain the neck portion of the bag in the stored position, tucked inside-out within the body portion, and to shield the neck portion from external contaminants pending opening or removal of the closure and eversion of the neck portion into a dispensing position.
