Feed pellets and related systems and methods
The present disclosure relates to methods of making a feed pellet for an animal by agglomerating at least two ingredients in a first apparatus to form a plurality of nuclei and tumbling the plurality of nuclei in a second apparatus and simultaneously providing additional amounts of the at least two ingredients to the second apparatus, thereby forming a plurality of feed pellets for an animal. The present disclosure also relates to associated feed pellets and systems.
METHODS OF FEEDING HIGH FAT POURED FEED BLOCKS
Methods of feeding ruminants involve positioning the feed blocks in a pasture accessible to the ruminants. The feed block may have a total fat content of about 7 wt % to 33 wt % and an intake modifier to control intake of the feed blocks. High fat pellets having a high total fat content provide at least a portion of the fat in the high fat feed blocks. The methods control a rate of ingestion of high fat feed blocks by ruminants while not negatively affecting performance, and in some instances, ingestion of the blocks results in improved performance.

PREPARATION OF GLYCOGENIC-LIPOGENIC PRECURSORS IN THE PELLET FORM TO ENHANCE FERTILITY IN COWS DURING EARLY POSTPARTUM PHASE AND SHEEP DURING FLUSHING PHASE
Disclosed is a precursor used for prevention of hypocalcaemia in early lactating cows and sheep production enterprises, reduction of negative energy balance in early postpartum period and shortening this period, enhancement of pregnancy rate and enhancement of flushing effectiveness in sheep, and a method for production of the precursor in pellet form.

HIGH FAT POURED FEED BLOCK
Methods form high fat feed blocks having a total fat content of about 7 wt % to 33 wt %. The blocks are formed by blending a pourable composition having a viscosity of at least 1000 cP at 57 C. with high fat pellets having total fat content of at least 40 wt % based on pellet weight, where the pellets include at least one fat having a melt temperature of greater than 60 C. Also disclosed are feed blocks formed by the methods.

METHOD FOR SUPPPLYING WATER IN THE REARING OF LIVESTOCK AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING BLOCKS OF AN AQUEOUS GEL
The invention relates to a method for producing blocks of an aqueous gel, comprising: a step of forming a compound by mixing: i. an aqueous substrate; and ii. the gelling agent,a step of drawing off the compound;a step of in-line cooling of the compound so as to bring it below a second temperature at which it gels;a step of transferring to a distribution line;a step of cutting the gelled compound into blocks at the outlet of the distribution line; anda step of distributing the blocks of gel into a farming container immediately after the gel is cut into blocks. Such a method allows blocks of gel to be produced continuously and as required in the context of rearing livestock, in particular rearing insects. The invention also relates to a corresponding device.
