Protective Wrapping For A Cylindrical Object
20180186532 · 2018-07-05 · ·

The present disclosure relates to a protective wrapping for a cylindrical object, comprising: an essentially square plastic film sheet, having a length exceeding the length of the circumference of the cylindrical object to be wrapped and a width exceeding the width of the cylindrical object to be wrapped, and having an inner face and an outer face referring to the orientation of the film when wrapped; the plastic film sheet comprising two foamed plastic strips arranged on the inner or outer face thereof, the strips arranged essentially parallel in the length direction of the plastic film sheet, at a distance from each other such that the foamed plastic strips can cover and protect the edges of the cylindrical object when wrapped. The present disclosure further relates to the use of the protective wrapping for wrapping a cylindrical object, particularly a reel of plastic film for baling applications.

MULTI-DENSITY SKID ASSEMBLY
20180134445 · 2018-05-17 ·

A multi-density skid assembly for an appliance or other object. The assembly includes an inner layer of at least one low density material and an outer layer of at least one high density material. At least one fastener extends into an inner opening defined in the inner layer and through an aperture defined by appliance. The fastener provides an anchoring force such that the fastener secures the skid assembly to the appliance yet allows for the skid assembly to be displaced from the appliance without the use of tools or necessarily laying the appliance on one side.

Shipping System for Shipping Glass Sheets

A shipping system for shipping planar substrates includes a plurality of planar substrates stacked to form a pack and a plurality of interleaving material including substantially spherical beads positioned between the substrates of the pack and configured to carry a load. Substantially all of the beads have a diameter within 25% of D.sub.max, where D.sub.max is a diameter corresponding to a size of an opening of an upper limit sieve used in the shipping system. Also disclosed are a spacer for use in a shipping system for shipping planar substrates, a wrapped system for shipping planar substrates, a method of wrapping a system for shipping planar substrates, and a powder applicator.

STRUCTURE AND METHOD FOR SECURING AND TRANSPORTING EQUIPMENT RACKS

A shipping apparatus utilizes logistic bars attached laterally across a carrier shipping enclosure such as truck trailer or shipping container. The logistic bars can engage tracks attached to lateral sidewalls of the carrier shipping enclosure. One or more equipment racks are positioned behind one of the lateral logistic bars. Another logistic bar is placed behind the one or more equipment racks. Each of the equipment racks are secured in place by clamping devices positioned along a respective lateral logistic bar to be proximate to a respective corner of the equipment rack. Longitudinal logistic bars are engaged to a pair of the clamping devices that are on opposing lateral sides of the equipment rack. The shipping apparatus provides a rigid structure that is appropriately positioned without damaging components within the equipment rack and preventing swaying during transport of the equipment rack.

COIL PROTECTOR, METHOD AND KIT THEREWITH
20180118449 · 2018-05-03 ·

The present invention provides a protector for protecting a steel coil having an outer curved surface, an inner core surface and a sidewall located there between, the protector comprising a first member adapted for engagement with a coil core; and a second member adapted for engagement with a coil outer surface. The invention further provides a protector for protecting a steel coil having an outer curved surface, an inner core surface and a sidewall located there between, the protector comprising a first member having a coil core guard; and a second member having a coil belly guard, wherein, in use, the coil core guard is located adjacent the coil core and the coil belly guard is located adjacent the coil outer surface, both the first and second members being adjacent the coil sidewall. Also provided is a method of protecting a steel coil from damage, the steel coil comprising the steps of providing a protector according to an aspect of the present invention; locating the first member adjacent a coil core; and locating the second member adjacent a coil outer surface.

Foam packaging assembly

A foam packaging assembly for protecting an article includes one or more pads including at least one corner pad and at least one side pad disposed between the corner pads, a packaging container configured to receive the article or an inner box storing the article, and a configurator determining one or more dimensions of the container based on at least one input variable of the article or the inner box. The configurator further determines a number of the pads for placement inside the container such that the article with the pads is protected during storage or transport. Further, the foam packaging assembly includes at least one insert board configured for placement over the article inside the container, and the configurator determines one or more dimensions of the insert board when the insert board is selected to be disposed inside the container.
