SHIPPING CONTAINER FOR TRANSPORTING WORKS OF ART
The invention is directed to a shipping container 1 for transporting works of art 2 comprising an enclosing section 3 obtained by injection moulding and a cover section 7 obtained by injection moulding, retaining means 9 to secure the cover section 7 to the wall sections of the enclosing section 3. The retaining means 9 are not present on at least one wall section 10. Said one wall section 10 is not provided with retaining means 9 and is provided with one or more support strips 11 along the length of the side wall 10.
Overbox Packaging System
An overbox packaging system for a high aspect ratio inner box includes an outer box, at least four modular packaging inserts, and tape to seal the outer box closed. Four modular packaging inserts are adapted to a width of the high aspect ratio inner box by selective removal of zero or more first tear-away pieces and are adapted to a difference in a second dimension of the outer box in the inner box by selective removal of zero or more second tear-away pieces of at least two of the four modular packaging inserts. A second module of additional modular packaging inserts is removed, leaving a first module which is adapted to the width of the high aspect ratio inner box by selective removal of zero or more first tear-away pieces and placed in the outer box with its slot holding a section of the inner box.
Method and Apparatus for Secured Packing of Objects
A packaging block that includes a body section having a aperture defined therein. A hinge defines a first portion of the body section and a second portion of the body section. The first portion is rotatably coupled to the second portion via the hinge. A plurality of selectively removable sections are removably coupled to the body section. The aperture receives at least a portion of an article to facilitate securement of the article during packaging and transport.
EXPANDABLE CORNER CUSHION FOR PROTECTING ARTICLES DURING TRANSPORTATION AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A corner protector for protecting a corner of an article includes a first side panel lying in a first plane, and a second side panel lying in a second plane. The corner protector also includes an accordion-like connection structure interconnecting the first side panel and the second side panel such that inner surfaces of the first and second side panels define an adjustable article receiving cavity therebetween.
Process for Packaging Article with Three-Dimensional Loop Material
The present disclosure provides a process. In an embodiment, a process for producing a packaging article includes providing a body having a geometric shape and composed of a three-dimensional random loop material (3DRLM). The 3DRLM is composed of an olefin-based polymer. The body has a sleeve with opposing ends on respective opposing surfaces of the body. The sleeve extends through an interior portion of the body and has an opening at each respective end. Each opening has a closed width. The process includes providing a product having an insert shape. The insert shape has an insert width that is greater than or equal to the closed width of the sleeve opening. The process includes inserting the product into the sleeve.
No drip tray liner
The present invention is directed to a two-ply absorbent liner for use in a sterilization process and, more particularly, to an absorbent liner having a foam layer and a paper layer for cushioning sterilization trays and surgical instruments in a sterilization pack and providing advantageous moisture absorption functionality during and after completion of a sterilization process. The absorbent liner functions advantageously with steam or ethylene oxide gas as the sterilization agent. The absorbent liner is fabricated from a foam material, preferably a hydrophilic polymeric foam material, e.g., a hydrophilic polyurethane foam flame laminated to paper, preferably medical grade paper. The disclosed liner may be advantageously utilized in sterilizing surgical instruments and in conjunction with sterilizing trays such that potential residual moisture is eliminated from the surface of the instruments or trays and metal surfaces are cushioned.
PACKAGE
A package packages an object to be packaged by placing the object to be packaged on a tray box, covering the object with packaging corrugated cardboard from the top, and wrapping a binding band. The packaging corrugated cardboard includes a peripheral wall having a pair of first sidewalls and a pair of second sidewalls, an inner flap connected to a top side of each of the first sidewalls, and an outer flap connected to a top side of each of the second sidewalls. Each inner flap is provided with a pair of protrusions protruding from both side ends of the flap. When the inner flap and then the outer flap are closed, an opening on a top side of the peripheral wall is closed with the protrusions being brought into contact with the second sidewalls.
Frame End Cap Package
A frame package including a back panel, an inside panel tab, a front panel, and an inside panel is provided. The inside panel tab extends from the back panel. The front panel extends from the back panel and defines a region to rest upon a corner portion of a frame. The inside panel extends from the front panel and includes an inside panel tab slot. The back panel, the front panel, and the inside panel are arranged with one another to fold about the corner portion of the frame and for the inside panel to extend through a frame opening such that the corner portion of the frame is covered by at least one of the back panel and the front panel. The inside panel tab is received within the inside panel tab slot to secure the back panel to the inside panel without an additional fastener.
Expandable foam corner protector
An expandable foam corner protector is provided. The expandable foam corner protector includes (i) a first L-shaped bracketing portion; (ii) a second L-shaped bracketing portion; and (iii) an interior channel portion, which is located between the bracketing portions, including a plurality of arc-shaped cuts extending through a thickness in a Z-direction of the interior channel portion. At least a portion of the arc-shaped cuts are aligned along a X-direction and are free to expand to form expanded openings along a Y-direction in response to an external force applied to the interior channel portion along the Y-direction. The interior channel portion is configured to define a generally right angle configured to overlie a corner of an inanimate object, and wherein the first L-shaped bracketing portion, the second L-shaped bracketing portion, and the interior portion define a U-shaped channel including the generally right angle of the interior channel portion.
Packaging assembly
The present subject matter provides a packaging assembly. The packaging assembly includes an inner protection layer which fits and is in contact with a surface of an object to be packaged, and an outer protection layer which covers the inner protection layer. The materials of the outer protection layer and the inner protection layer have different elastic coefficients.
