Packaging for pressure and gas sensitive products
Disclosed are improved devices, systems and methods for storing, protecting and/or dispensing/delivering products that are particularly sensitive to pressure changes, alterations in gas distributions and/or partial pressures, physical impacts, temperature changes and/or other variations in the ambient environment.
TRANSPORT CONTAINER WITH GAS SELECTIVE MEMBRANE EXHAUST
Described herein is a method for operating a refrigerated shipping container containing respiring produce, the method including: passing a cooled CO.sub.2-rich air stream from an internal environment within the shipping container through a CO.sub.2 selective membrane of a membrane system to produce a cooled CO.sub.2-lean air stream and a CO.sub.2-rich permeate stream; retaining or returning the cooled CO.sub.2-lean air stream to the internal environment; and exhausting the CO.sub.2-rich permeate stream to an external environment outside of the shipping container; drawing external air or permitting external air to pass into the shipping container through an air vent with a pre-set fixed opening of the shipping container in a volume to at least balance a volume difference between the cooled CO.sub.2-rich air stream and the cooled CO.sub.2-lean air stream; wherein the membrane system is operated according to a pre-set mode, and the pre-set mode is independent of a measured gas concentration or pressure of the internal environment; and the pre-set fixed opening of the vent is selected based on one or more characteristics of the respiring produce and the pre-set mode of the membrane system.
PACKAGING FOR A PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCT
Packaging for a pharmaceutical product and a method of validating pharmaceuticals is disclosed. The packaging comprising a cavity; and validation circuitry comprising: a sensor adapted to output a signal in response to detecting a vapour in the cavity; and a detection circuit adapted to output an indication when the signal indicates a predefined vapour signature.
Substrate storage container
A substrate storage container comprises a container body capable of containing a plurality of substrates, and an air supply member capable of supplying gas from outside of the container body to an internal space, wherein for the substrate storage container the container body is formed in a front open box and the air supply member is attached to the bottom surface, and wherein a functional unit that changes the environment of the internal space to different states are connected with the air supply member so as to be able to be exchanged.
"Gentle Touch" Modified Atmosphere Meat Packaging System and Method of Packaging Meat
The present invention relates in general to the field of packaged meat product, and more specifically, to a modified atmosphere meat packaging system and method of packaging meat product. The modified atmosphere meat packaging system and method comprises a lid-stock container with a reduced-volume headspace configured to contain a modified atmosphere consisting of carbon dioxide and nitrogen. Spices, salts, rubs and seasonings may be further placed on the meat product to add flavor and mask a myoglobin state during long periods of shipping, storage and retail display. An impermeable gaseous barrier is configured to “gently touch” the meat product to prevent movement inside the meat packaging system and maintain an attractive appearance to consumers. The purpose of the invention is to provide a packaged meat product that appears freshly cut and wrapped straight from the butcher at a local meat market as opposed to a centralized packaging facility.
Card Based Package for Sensitive Materials
A card-based package for sensitive food products, comprises a container portion defining an interior space with a base and a sidewall extending to an upper peripheral edge for receiving a removable seal for hermetically sealing the container portion prior to use. The package further comprises a lid structure, that can open and close to allow selective access to the interior space after removal of the seal. The container portion and the lid structure are both formed of card-based material and at least the container portion has light, oxygen, and water vapour barrier properties sufficient for storage of the product for a period exceeding 24 months.
Card Based Package for Powdered Infant Nutrition Products
A card-based package for powdered infant nutrition, comprises a container portion, the container portion defining an interior space for receiving the powdered infant nutrition and having a base and a sidewall extending to an upper peripheral edge for receiving a removable seal for hermetically sealing the container portion prior to use. The package further comprises a collar portion and a lid portion. The collar portion is connected to and extends upwardly from the upper peripheral edge of the container portion and comprises a connection segment and an upper peripheral closure rim surrounding an access opening giving access to the interior space. The lid portion comprises a lid and a frame and forms a re-closable joint with the upper peripheral closure rim of the collar portion, allowing repeated and selective opening and closing of the access opening. The container portion, the collar portion and the lid portion all comprise card-based material.
RIPENING CHAMBER AND METHOD FOR RIPENING FRUIT
The present invention relates to a ripening chamber and a method for fruit ripening. In particular, the present invention relates to a banana ripening chamber and a method for the artificial ripening of bananas (banana ripening technique). In a method according to the invention for ripening fruits, bananas, a respiration of the fruits is measured in a closed chamber containing the fruits to be ripened. A ripening chamber according to the invention is adapted to carry out a method according to the invention for ripening fruit.
Mechanisms for charging gas into cassette pod
Embodiments of mechanisms for charging a gas into a cassette pod are provided. A method for charging a gas into a cassette pod includes loading at least one semiconductor wafer into a housing of the cassette pod after the at least one semiconductor wafer is processed by a processing apparatus. The method also includes removing the cassette pod from the processing apparatus by a transporting apparatus to a predetermined destination. The method further includes charging a gas into an enclosure in the housing of the cassette pod from a gas supply assembly disposed on the housing.
CANNABIS STORAGE CONTAINER
Described herein is a cannabis storage container equipped with an air-tight silicone compressor, childproof cap, and UV tinted glass. The air-tight Silicon Compressor has input pinhole for injecting inert gases after the cap is pressed down to release/displace the internal oxygen through an output pinhole valve.
