LIQUID-CONTAINING COMBINATION CONTAINER, CONTAINER SET, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING LIQUID-CONTAINING CONTAINER, AND USE OF LIQUID-CONTAINING COMBINATION CONTAINER
A liquid-containing combination container includes a first container that contains a liquid and that has oxygen permeability, a second container that contains the first container and that has an oxygen barrier property, and an oxygen absorber that absorbs oxygen in the second container. Pressure in the first container is 1 atm or less.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A HUMIDITY CONTROL DEVICE AND HUMIDITY CONTROL DEVICE
A method of manufacturing a humidity control device including the steps of: a) providing an envelope in an open configuration; b) introducing in at least one part of the open envelope a given weight of a humidity control agent having a known moisture content lower than the moisture content corresponding to a targeted equilibrium relative humidity level (ERHi); c) introducing a given weight of water in the at least one part of the open envelope; and d) repeating steps b) and c) until a desired weight of hydrated humidity control agent is received in the at least one part of the open envelope.
LIQUID-CONTAINING COMBINATION CONTAINER, CONTAINER SET, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING LIQUID-CONTAINING CONTAINER
A liquid-containing combination container includes a first container that contains a liquid, a second container that contains the first container and that has an oxygen barrier property, and an oxygen absorber that absorbs oxygen in the second container. The first container includes a container body that includes an opening portion and a stopper that closes the opening portion, the stopper has oxygen permeability.
HUMIDITY CONTROL DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A humidity control device, configured to maintain the relative humidity in an enclosure within a given range by absorbing or releasing water vapor, includes an envelope and a humidity control agent arranged inside the envelope. The envelope is liquid water resistant and water vapor permeable. The humidity control agent includes a hydrated superabsorbent polymer having an adjusted moisture content selected to provide a targeted equilibrium relative humidity (ERHi) situated in the range of 45% RH to 90% RH in a sealed container.
CAP INSERT WITH INTERNAL COMPARTMENT
An insert having a compartment that can be secured into a cap of a container is disclosed. The compartment can be used to store a humectant, desicant, or other material, which can be used to help preserve the contents of the container, such a food product or a pharmaceutical. The insert has a main body, a sidewall that surrounds the main body and extends upwards to define the compartment. A flange extends outwardly from the top of the sidewall that engages with the inner surface of the cap. The insert can be comprised of a resilient material to allow it to deform to fit within the cap and to secure it within the cap.
Syringe packaging system including oxygen absorber
A syringe packaging system that includes a packaging member defining a first compartment, a second compartment, and a third compartment that are in gaseous communication theretogether is disclosed. The first compartment is structured to receive a syringe barrel therein, the second compartment is structured to receive a plunger rod therein, and the third compartment is structured to receive an oxygen absorber therein. With the packaging member enclosing the syringe barrel, the plunger rod, and the oxygen absorber, the oxygen absorber is adapted to draw oxygen from within the syringe barrel and to absorb oxygen contained within at least one of the first compartment, the second compartment, and the third compartment of the packaging member. The syringe packaging system of the present disclosure also allows for reduced storage space of a syringe assembly.
PACKAGING SYSTEM FOR STORAGE AND SHIPMENT OF SOLIDS
A packaging system that maintains the free flowing characteristic of solid materials contained therein. The packaging system includes a container, a cover, a vapor permeable bag, a vapor impermeable liner and at least two desiccant snakes. The vapor permeable bag has an opening for receiving solid materials and is formed from cloth or continuous fibers of high-density polyethylene that are randomly distributed and non-directional. The vapor impermeable liner surrounds the vapor permeable bag and provides a moisture barrier. The desiccant snakes are disposed between the vapor permeable bag and the liner. Each snake includes two or more desiccant packages formed from a vapor permeable material through which moisture can freely pass. The desiccant packages contain clay, silica, or molecular sieves.
ENCAPSULATED ABSORBER AND TEMPORAL ACTIVATION THEREOF
Packaging has an outer sleeve, which surrounds an interior space for receiving an object, such as a sterilized medical implant. A separate container is arranged in the interior space and surrounds an absorber in a gas-tight manner, such that a gas present in the interior space cannot pass to the absorber. The container is configured to be opened by the application of force when the outer sleeve is closed, such that a gas disposed in the interior space can pass to the absorber and can be absorbed thereby. In preferred embodiments, the absorber absorbs air with the reactive constituents O.sub.2 and/or H.sub.2O. Depending on the application, however, other gases can also be absorbed by the absorber. A method for packaging is also provided.
MOISTURE CONTROL DEVICES
The present disclosure relates to a humidity control device having a capsule and a humidity control agent arranged within the capsule. The capsule may have a sidewall arranged between a pair of end portions, and at least one end portion may be an endcap coupled to the sidewall. Further, the capsule may have at least one vapor permeable and liquid impermeable surface. The humidity control device may be configured to control relative humidity within an enclosure to a particular level or to within a particular range. The humidity device may be sized and configured to control humidity within a relatively small and/or uniquely shaped enclosure, such as a container for a single cigar or rolled cannabis product, for example.
Packaging system for oxygen-sensitive drugs
Described herein are pharmaceutical packaging systems which prevent oxidative degradation of oxygen-sensitive drugs, such systems including a primary packaging container with an oxygen permeable component, a secondary packaging with very low permeability to oxygen and an oxygen absorber.
