The present device dispenses product from a pressurized container. The device has a metered valve that dispenses a predetermined fixed quantity of product upon actuation. The metered valve can be configured by the customer with a spacer to affect the amount of product continually metered.

The invention relates to an extracting and dosing valve for a device for discharging spray media, comprising: an extraction piston having a longitudinal axis that comprises an extraction-piston actuating region and an axially oppositely arranged extraction-piston end region; an extraction orifice comprising a passage opening in which the extraction piston is arranged so as to be movable linearly, the extracting and dosing valve having a closed state that corresponds to a defined position of the extraction piston; and a first sealing element arranged adjoining the extraction-piston end region on the actuating region side, wherein the first sealing element closes the passage opening when the extracting and dosing valve is in the closed state.

Metering valve having a valve body containing a metering chamber defined by a chamber insert and two annular seals, a valve seal and a chamber seal, the chamber insert having a cylindrical wall, an upper edge cooperating with the valve seal and a lower edge cooperating with the chamber seal, a valve sliding axially in the valve body between rest and dispensing positions. The valve is urged towards its rest position by a spring cooperating with the valve body and with the valve. The upper edge of the chamber insert has an annular cutout formed on the radially inner side of the upper edge so that the width of the upper edge in contact with the valve seal is the same, whatever the width of the cylindrical wall. An aerosol canister for dispensing a product and propellant, and a product metering valve for use with the aerosol canister. The canister includes a high pressure chamber for containing a liquefied or compressed gas propellant, a low pressure chamber for containing a gas propellant, and a product reservoir for containing a gas propellant. A pressure regulating valve is interposed between the high pressure chamber and the low pressure chamber, the pressure regulating valve adapted to provide a fluid flow path from the high pressure chamber to the low pressure chamber when the pressure in the low pressure chamber drops below a predetermined pressure.
