Various implementations include an additive dispensing cartridge for use in a capsule beverage machine. The cartridge includes a main housing, a first seal, and a second seal. The main housing has one or more walls at least partially defining a reservoir. The main housing has a central axis, a first end, and second end. The main housing further includes a first flange extending radially outwardly from the first end of the main housing and a second flange extending radially outwardly from the second end of the main housing. The first seal is coupled to the first flange of the main housing. The second seal is coupled to the second flange of the main housing. The walls of the main housing are configured to collapse in a direction parallel to the central axis when force is applied to the first end and the second end of the main housing.

The invention relates to a capsule for containing a substance for preparing a beverage by placing the capsule in the cavity of a piston. The capsule has a body with a rim and a sealing ring which is attached to the lower wall of the rim. The sealing ring has an upper face bearing on the lower wall of the ring and a free lower face. The capsule has an inner bearing surface and an outer bearing surface each projecting from the rim forming a groove that is arranged to sealingly receive the peripheral edge of the piston during the preparation of the beverage. At least the outer bearing surface is formed on an inner wall of a ring and formed in one part on the free lower face of the sealing ring.

A capsule for the preparation of a beverage in a beverage preparation device is disclosed. The capsule comprises a cup-shaped body and a cover for closing the cup-shaped body. The cup-shaped body comprises an annular flange for the cover to seal thereon. At least the cup-shaped body is made of cellulose pulp and comprises: a bottom wall, a tubular lateral wall and the annular flange. The connecting wall comprises at least a part protruding outward with respect to the lateral wall of the cup-shaped body.
