Pack (1) with an inner volume (2) in which at least two different food or beverage ingredients (71, 72) are stored and in which a beverage is produced when water is introduced inside, said inner volume (2) being defined by sheets of material (10) joined to one another at their edges and said inner volume (2) presenting a generally plane shape defining a plane (P) vertically oriented during beverage production, said pack comprising at least one inlet (3) for introducing water in the inner volume and at least one outlet (4) for delivering the beverage from said inner volume, said water inlet and said beverage outlet being positioned between two joined edges of the sheets of material (10), and wherein the inner volume (2) includes a plurality of compartments (21, 22), the compartments being separated by at least one releasable or separable bond (6).

NUTRITIONAL POWDER PODS AND RELATED METHODS

Nutritional powders pods, generally in individual servings, suitable for use in beverage production machines are presented. The nutritional powder pods comprise pods containing a nutritional powder. The nutritional powder contained in the pods has specific characteristics, such as particle size, particle porosity, and powder density, which results in good reconstitution of the powder when it is reconstituted into a liquid product by a beverage production machine.

Multi-chamber beverage cartridge

The disclosure relates to a multi-chamber cartridge. The multi-chamber cartridge may include two chambers separated by a membrane. The two chambers may include a first chamber storing a first substance is positioned adjacent a second chamber. The multi-chamber cartridge may further include a piercing mechanism mounted within the first chamber. Upon an external force being applied to the piercing mechanism, the piercing mechanism pierces the membrane to allow the first substance to move to the second chamber.

Single-Serving Beverage Ingredient Containers Comprising Nanoparticulate Cannabidiol

Disclosed are single-serving coffee containers in which nanoparticulate CBD, embedded or encapsulated in a hydrophilic thin film, is deposited in a lower portion of the single-serving coffee container below a packed bed of ground coffee beans. The container may, but need not, include a separator that separates the container into an upper portion containing the ground coffee beans and the lower portion containing the CBD nanoparticles. Disclosed methods of using such single-serving coffee containers include exposing the hydrophilic CBD thin film to hot water used in brewing a coffee beverage, thereby causing a carrier material of the hydrophilic thin film to dissolve or disintegrate, thereby releasing the CBD nanoparticles to form a CBD coffee beverage.

BEVERAGE POD

A beverage pod is provided. The beverage pod includes an outer shell, a filter, and a shelf. The outer shell has a bottom layer, a lid opposite the bottom layer, and side walls between the bottom layer and the lid. The bottom layer is operable to be breached by a brewing pin from a beverage brewing machine. The filter forms a chamber operable to contain a beverage material. The beverage material is operable to mix with a liquid to form a beverage. The shelf supports a shape of at least a portion of the filter. The shelf forms a receiving portion operable to receive the brewing pin. The receiving portion has substantially a toroidal shape.

A soluble coffee container to be inserted in a beverage brewing device, including a main body to store at least one soluble item therein and dissolve in response to receiving a liquid thereon from the beverage brewing device, and a lid removably disposed on at least a portion of the main body to at least partially cover the main body and dissolve in response to receiving the liquid thereon from the beverage brewing device, such that a drinkable solution is created.

BEVERAGE POD

Single-serving beverage pods can include a first chamber operable to contain a dry beverage material and a second chamber operable to contain a second beverage material. A seal layer is disposed between the first chamber and the second chamber to prevent fluid communication between the first chamber and the second chamber. The seal layer can be operable to be breached by a brewing pin such that the brewing pin is received in the second chamber. The second beverage material can then be removed from the beverage pod via the brewing pin.

Machine and methods for dispensing nutritional supplements and multi-serving cartridge therefor

A granulated nutritional supplement dispensing machine extracts single-serving doses from a multi-serving supplements cartridge for delivery as a drinkable solution. A lead serving chamber is pierced so that its powered contents drain into a mixing cup together with a metered quantity of water from an integrated water tank. A vibrator unit assists drainage of the granulated materials from the lead serving chamber. The mixing cup is rotated at high speed to blend the water and supplements into a slurry. The supplements cartridge is indexed after (or before) use so that an unopened serving chamber is presented each time for extracting its supplements. This enables partially-used supplements cartridges to be used in the machine, as is conducive in multiple-user households. The supplements cartridge is configured with read-write data capability to indicate whether or not the contents of each serving chamber have been emptied.
