FILTER-BAG FOR INFUSION PRODUCTS AND METHOD FOR MAKING FILTER-BAG
A filter-bag for liquid infusion products including a thermoformed body with filtration properties having an inner volume defined by a bottom, a mouth delimited on the perimeter by an upper flat edge, and a connecting wall between the bottom and the upper edge; the wall being provided with at least one rib extending from the bottom towards the upper edge in such a way as to define at least two chambers for containing corresponding infusion products separate from each other and included in the internal volume of the thermoformed body; a flat piece of non-thermoformable filter material, having transparency characteristics, and associated with the upper edge of the body for covering the opening and separating the chambers obtained in this way.
Use of polylactic acid powders in the manufacturing of beverage filter fibers
A non-woven mono-component, mono-constituent poly lactic acid (PLA) web is disclosed. The web material is useful for production of infused and brewed beverage filtering media such as tea bags and other pouches and filters. The nonwoven network of PLA fibers in mono-component, mono-constituent configuration provides enhanced liquid infusion properties, superior wet strength and weight properties that surpass current beverage bags and pouches because of its unique composition and structure. The manufacture of Biodegradable Tea and Coffee filter fabrics utilizing PLA powders in place of low melt mono-component, mono-constituent fibers to improve fabric elongation and reduce cost. The addition of a Chlorine scavenger allows preserving the taste and essence of the beverage.

COFFEE BEVERAGE AND METHODS
A single-serve coffee package has an outer envelope having one folded edge and three heat-sealed edges, comprising 95% by weight materials that are compostable and demonstrate bio-degradability, a filter bag fully within the outer envelope, having one folded edge and sealed edges, forming a closed envelope having opposite sides, each side comprising one layer of filter material, fully compostable and biodegradable, the filter material exhibiting a plurality of openings through the material, enabling water to pass through, the openings having no dimension exceeding a minimum dimension, a volume of grains of ground coffee within the filter bag, dimensions of the grains precluding coffee grains passing through the openings through the filter material, and an atmosphere of gas within the outer envelope, enveloping the filter bag and the coffee grains, the gas inert relative to materials exposed within the outer envelope.

Clasping device for infusion bags III
A clasping device for anchoring beverage infusion bags inside a cup. The clasping device is tied with a string to the infusion bag and is mounted on top of the cup's rim. Two grippers with serrated surfaces grip at opposite locations on both sides of the cup's wall by pressing the wall with sharp protrusions which intensify the friction force between the grippers and the cup. The grippers' pressing forces originate from elastic forces which are created from forcing the gap between the grippers to widen when the clasping device is mounted on top of the cup's rim. The clasping device is manufactured from flat, resilient plate and has flat structure which enables to pack it along with the infusion bag in a flat package. An optional hollow figurine, which contains liquid additive can be attached as well. The string tying method into slits is efficient and inexpensive.

Extraction bag
A tea bag type extraction bag to obtain extraction liquid includes bag main body formed of water permeable filter sheet, pair of thin plate-like members provided on outer surfaces of two opposing faces of bag main body; and extraction material filled in bag main body. Respective outer surfaces of bag main body, thin plate-like member includes upper edge portion attached to upper part of bag main body, gripping portion continuous with upper edge portion via fold line and extends from fold line toward lower edge of bag main body, and leg portion extending from upper edge of bag main body toward lower edge of bag main body. Upper edge of upper edge portion is flush with upper edge of bag main body, and gripping portion is able to be folded upward along fold line so that leading end part thereof projects from upper edge of bag main body.
Thread material cutting device
A thread material cutting device is provided which is used in an extraction bag sheet manufacturing apparatus. The thread material cutting device has tension application means such as a pressing plate configured to engage with the thread material placed between adjacent tags so as to apply tension to the thread material. While the welding means is press-heating the thread material onto the tags, the tension application means applies tension to the thread material so as to cut the thread material.
