Fishing Weight Design with Crushing Action
20190082669 · 2019-03-21 ·

A crushable fishing weight can include a body fashioned from malleable metal having a plurality of channels. In at least some embodiments, the body is cylindrical and the channels run parallel to the longest axis of the cylindrical body. In some embodiments, a hanger apparatus with a hanger eye occupies one of the channels. A lure assembly can be affixed to the hanger, and incoming line to which the lure is to be attached is fed through the plurality of channels. When the weight is crushed, the friction from the channels against the line holds the line in place, thus affixing a weight and lure system to the incoming line without additional knots.

STEM GUIDES AND REPLACEABLE CARTRIDGES
20180360014 · 2018-12-20 ·

The invention relates to a method for adjusting the buoyancy of a fishing bobber. The method includes providing a buoyant member and a stem guide configured to receive the buoyant member, mounting the buoyant member to the stem guide and cutting the buoyant member. The buoyant member is made of a material capable of being severed by a cutting device and having first length, a lower end, and an upper end. The stem guide receives the buoyant member and a fishing line with fishing tackle. The buoyant member is cut such that the buoyant member has a second length shorter than the first length. The buoyant member is cut to a second length such that the buoyancy of the buoyant member when cut to a second length is enough to oppose the tendency of the stem guide and fishing tackle to submerse the buoyant member such that a top surface of the cut buoyant member is adjacent to the surface of the water when the stem guide, buoyant member, fishing line and any fishing tackle are placed in the water.

SINKER SLIDER SYSTEM
20180303078 · 2018-10-25 ·

A sinker slider system comprising a slider through which a fishing line passes and an accessory to be coupled and uncoupled to the slider by a gliding motion through a slider glide track and a T track of the accessory. The gliding motion is stopped by releasing a spring-loaded member of the T track into an indent of the slider. The system may further comprise an accessory base for storing the accessory not in use. The accessory base may have a plurality of slots or sections, each of which may have a base glide track for coupling to the T track and a base indent.
