According to some illustrative embodiments, a protective product is provided that includes: at least one expandable slit paper sheet, said at least on expandable slit paper being expanded between opposing ends of said slit paper; a first embossed paper sheet facing said expanded slit paper sheet and a second paper sheet facing an opposite side of said at least one expanded slit paper sheet, at least one of said first embossed paper sheet and said second paper sheet being fixed to said expanded slit paper sheet at the opposing ends of said expanded slit paper sheet and thereby maintaining said expanded paper in its expanded state, said first embossed paper sheet having a plurality of embossings that increase the rigidity of said embossed paper sheet, whereby inhibiting deformation of said embossed paper sheet that is fixed to said expanded slit sheet paper.

The present disclosure relates to dispensing containers for storing and dispensing folded sheet materials. The dispensing container of the present disclosure can be constructed so as to be free of polymer films. The dispensing container includes a unique dispensing system that can include an access opening in combination with a baffle. The baffle can include a non-linear slit that can apply forces to a sheet material being dispensed. In this manner, a sheet material can be maintained in an upright position without falling back into the container. The access opening can be used to initially thread tissues through the baffle or to re-thread tissues through the baffle after some of the sheets have been dispensed.

A tub for a container includes an inner tub and an outer tub, each formed of a solid compostable or recyclable sheet formed primarily of plant fiber. A furan can for containing a product includes a sealed container that contains the product and includes a furan resin selected from the group consisting of: poly (ethylene 2, 5-furan dicarboxylate) (PEF), poly (butylene 2, 5-furan dicarboxylate) (PBF), poly (trim ethylene furan dicarboxylate) (PTF), poly (propylene 2, 5-furandicarboxylate) (PPF), and poly (neopentyl 2, 5-furandicarboxylate) (PNF); and a release mechanism to open the container and access the product. The can may further include a generally cylindrical shell molded to have a sealed bottom and a straight wall that includes the furan resin; and a cap to seal the shell, the cap having the release mechanism and a rim that includes the furan resin; wherein the rim of the cap is bonded to the wall of the shell to releasably seal the product inside the can.
