The invention relates to a method for mechanically closing, in particular beading, a package for, in particular, food products, which package is made up of at least two foil half-shells which are mechanically closed at their encircling edge sections in contact with one another by means of a closing unit, wherein the closing unit comprises: a package carrier with an outer ring and a package receiving ring, and also at least two closing tools, specifically: a positioning tool for positioning the edge sections, which bear against one another, of the foil half-shells to be closed, and also an attachment tool for attaching the edge sections, wherein the method comprises the following steps: inserting the foil half-shells into the packaging receiving ring, wherein the foil half-shells bear against one another by way of their encircling edge sections, positioning the edge sections, which bear against one another, by means of the positioning tool, attaching the edge sections by means of the attachment tool, characterized in that the package carrier carries the package to be closed during the entire process.

The present invention relates to a package for containing a product comprising a support (1) which has: a base (2) configured for receiving one or more products, a perimetral edge (6) which surrounds the base (2), a removable portion (21) extending as a prolongation of the perimetral edge (6) away from the base (2). The package further comprises a closing film (10) engaged to a portion of the perimetral edge (6) and to the removable portion (21) and configured for definingin cooperation with the support (1)a housing compartment (5) for the product (P); the removable portion (21) and at least a part of the closing film (10) are configured for being separated from the support (1) during an opening step of the package (100). The package (100) is configured for defining a closing condition in which: the closing film in cooperation with the support (1) prevents access to the housing compartment (5) of the product (P), and the removable portion (21) is aligned with at least a portion (6a) of the perimetral edge (6) from which it extends as a prolongation. The package (100) further comprises a gripping portion (22) emerging from the perimetral edge 6 and extending, in the closed condition of the package, transversally to the removable portion (21). The present invention also relates to a process and an apparatus for making said package.

The present invention relates to a package for containing a product comprising a support (1) which has: a base (2) configured for receiving one or more products, a perimetral edge (6) which surrounds the base (2), a removable portion (21) extending as a prolongation of the perimetral edge (6) away from the base (2). The package further comprises: a closing film (10) engaged with a portion of the perimetral edge (6) and with the removable portion (21) for defining a housing compartment (22) for the product, a gripping portion (22) emerging from the perimetral edge (6); the removable portion (21) and at least a part of the closing film (10) are configured for being separated from the support (1) during an opening step of the package. The package is configured for defining a closing condition in which: the closing film in cooperation with the support (1) prevents access to the housing compartment (5), and the removable portion (21) is aligned with at least a portion (6a) of the perimetral edge (6) from which it extends as a prolongation. The removable portion (21) has a cavity (21a) the concavity whereof, at least in the closed condition of the package, faces the perimetral edge (6); the gripping portion (22) is disposed, at least in the closed condition of the package, within said cavity (21a). The present invention also relates to a process and an apparatus for making said package.

A container can include a body having a volume defined therein for retaining a product. The body can include a top surface adapted to be sealed by a lid. The container further includes a channel defined in a portion of the body such that the channel is in fluid communication with the internal volume at a first end and sealed by a portion of the body at an oppositely disposed second end. The container further includes a top flange surrounding the top surface of the body and includes a portion that borders the channel, with removal line disposed in the container to define a removable portion. The removal line extends from a first edge to a second edge and through the channel such that the removable portion can be removed from the body along the removal line to expose the channel.

A package includes a support and a closing film. The support has a supporting portion that receives a product, a perimetral edge surrounding the supporting portion, a gripping portion extending away from the opposite side of the supporting portion, a removable portion extending from the supporting portion. The closing film engages a portion of the perimetral edge and, with the support, defines a housing compartment for the product. The closing film comprises a first film portion engaged with the removable portion and a second film portion engaged with the gripping portion. When the package is opened, the removable portion at least partly separates from the support together with the first film portion and the second film portion remains engaged with the gripping portion of the support.

A reclosable package, and a machine and method for making that reclosable package that includes a tray for receiving a product and a substantially horizontal edge, wherein the horizontal edge extends circumferentially on an upper side of the tray and has a clamping portion releasably connected thereto. The package includes a top film across the tray, the edge and the clamping portion, and which may be releasably connected to the edge by a first sealed seam to seal the tray in a gas-tight manner. The top film may be connected to the clamping portion by a second sealed seam. A side face of the tray may include an undercut provided with a projection, the projection being suitable for locking the clamping portion in position when the clamping portion has been detached from the edge and is located between the projection of the undercut and the side face of the tray.

A package includes a lid and a container. The lid is adapted to mate with a brim of the container to close a top opening arranged to open into an interior product-storage region formed in the container.

A capsule for preparing a beverage product. The capsule has a closed inner chamber with an extraction area, and an inner duct extending longitudinally from the extraction area towards an opposite area and defining a main axis. The inner duct has an inner opening and an outer opening. The inner opening is arranged at a first distance which, is equal to or greater than half the maximum height of the inner chamber. A closure closes the inner duct and is separated from said outer opening towards the inner chamber of the capsule and an opening structure is arranged for opening up a passage of fluid communication with the outside of said capsule in said closure when an external compressive force with respect to the capsule is applied on said opening structure.

A disposable creamer container for holding and storing an adequate amount of liquid in a container which is easy to open and stack. The disposable creamer container includes a base, a sidewall extending upwardly therefrom, and an open upper end defining an interior volume configured to store a volume of liquid therein, wherein the sidewall includes a notched interior section defining a pour spout. A perimeter flange extends outwardly and perpendicularly from an upper perimeter edge of the sidewall. A first group of ridges is disposed on a bottom surface of the base to facilitate end-to-end stacking of multiple containers. A lid is removably secured to the perimeter flange of the sidewall, which forms an airtight seal until the container is opened. The container can be adapted to provide creamer in 0.75 ounce and one ounce sizes in order to satisfy consumer needs and reduce overall landfill waste.

A package for the storage of food or other suitable products includes a tray and, optionally, a lidding film. The tray is thermoformed, molded, or otherwise shaped to provide a recessed portion and flange, the recessed portion defining a product-receiving cavity. The flange includes a frame portion surrounding the cavity and a margin portion disposed alongside the frame portion and, in some embodiments, extending substantially a full width of the tray. The optional lidding film attaches to both the frame and margin portions and typically seals the cavity. The margin portion and a side wall of the recessed portion may include locking features to allow the margin portion to snap close against the side wall. The package may then be made to stand on end with the margin portion acting as a base. The lidding film may include a peelable/sealable film to allow repeated access to the product while sealing the cavity between uses.
