The present invention relates to a packing material for a laundry treatment apparatus having a casing with an entrance/exit hole through which laundry is entered and exited and an outer tub hung in the casing and having an opening through which the laundry is entered and exited, the packing material including a base part at a side of a predetermined fold line corresponding to the shape of the opening and a gap compensating part at another side of the fold line, wherein the base part is inserted into a space between the outer tub and an entrance/exit hole forming part forming the entrance/exit hole in the casing, and wherein the gap compensating part is inserted into an inside of the outer tub when the packing material is folded along the fold line.

A shipping carton having a force receiving area located adjacent opposing edges of the carton's top and bottom edges. The force receiving area is configured to deform in the presence of an external force and distribute that force through the force receiving area while minimizing the transfer of force directly to the appliance and minimizing damage to the surface panels of the shipping carton.

A washing machine tub lock device is provided that prevents the wash tub from impacting the washing machine cabinet during shipping and handling. The tub lock device is formed by cutting and folding a corrugated blank into an inverted truncated rectangular cone that can be wedged inside the top portion of the washing machine tub. The tub lock device includes hanging tabs which prevent the tub lock device from falling into the wash tub during shipping and handling. The tub lock device also includes elliptical tabs which bend or deform into elliptical cutouts such that the edges of the elliptical cutouts are covered, thus preventing the elliptical cutouts from damaging the washing machine during shipping and handling.

Household appliance rectangular support base for supporting at least one household appliance. The support base includes an upper surface, a lower surface, a first lateral side, a second lateral side, a front side and a rear side. The support base also includes first and second support parts that is each configured to support at least part of an opposite side of a base of the household appliance. In addition, the support base is formed by a plastic conformable upper sheet having the upper surface and a plastic conformable lower sheet having the lower surface. Each of the first and second support parts includes a plurality of reinforcement columns respectively distributed along the first and second lateral sides and surrounded by air, each extending between the upper surface and the lower surface.

A handle clip for securing an appliance handle during shipping may include a mount segment securable to the appliance handle. The handle clip may also include a support segment that may extend from the mount segment away from the appliance handle. The handle clip may further include a connection segment joined to the support segment for receipt on a wire frame. The connection segment may include a rigid tab. The rigid tab may include a rigid body, a groove shelf, and a gusset. The connection segment may also include a clamp tab. The clamp tab may include a clamp body and a forked lower groove wall. The connection segment may further include a resilient arc joint that may extend from the rigid tab to the clamp tab. The connection segment may define a wire groove to receive the wire frame between the rigid tab and the clamp tab.

The disclosure is of and includes at least an apparatus, system and method for modular manufacturing. The apparatus, system and method may include at least a device shell capable of providing at least the structure of a manufactured device, wherein the device shell comprises a plurality of receivers; a plurality of modules, each comprising a plurality of components suitable, in combination, to provide functional aspects to the manufactured device; a plurality of connectors externally associated with each of the plurality of modules, wherein the plurality of connectors are capable of being respectively received by ones of the plurality of receivers to thereby fasten each of the plurality of modules into the device shell.

A household packaging assembly includes at least one-paper based packaging wall including a corrugated board. The corrugated board includes a first panel including a surface and a second panel including a surface and spaced apart from the first panel. Additionally, the corrugated board includes a corrugated cushion extending from the surface of the first panel to the surface of the second panel. Furthermore, the household packaging assembly includes a household appliance positioned on the paper-based packaging wall(s). The corrugated board supports and cushions the household appliance during transport of the household appliance. Additionally, the corrugated board comprises a paper composite.

A pack member for a dishwasher appliance including a door having an inner door panel and an outer door panel includes a main panel defining a first face facing a first direction and a second face facing a second direction opposite the first face; a first wing panel extending from the main panel along a third direction, the first wing panel being offset from the main panel along the second direction; and a second wing panel extending from the main panel along a fourth direction opposite the third direction, the second wing panel being offset from the main panel along the second direction, the pack member being formed from a recyclable molded pulp material.

A household packaging assembly includes a paper-based packaging container extending in the vertical direction between a bottom and a top. The paper-based packaging container defines a container interior for positioning a household appliance therein and a container exterior. Additionally, the packaging assembly includes a household appliance positioned within the paper-based packaging container and a paper-based skid base attached to a bottom of the paper-based packaging container for supporting the paper-based packaging container. The paper-based skid base includes a plurality of paper-based boards extending across a bottom of the paper-based packaging container in the transverse direction and spaced apart from each other in the lateral direction. Furthermore, a lifting fork aperture is defined between each adjacent pair of paper-based boards of the plurality of paper-based boards for receiving one or more lifting fork extensions therethrough for lifting the household appliance packaging assembly.
