Foldable Bicycle and Method of Transporting a Foldable Bicycle
A foldable bicycle (100) having a riding configuration and a folded configuration includes a first wheel (102) and a second wheel (104) interconnected by a frame (106). At least the first wheel (102) has an open centre (108) and includes an annular rotor (110) engageable with the ground in the riding configuration of the bicycle (100) and an annular stator (114) carrying the annular rotor (110), and the frame (106) has a pivotal connection with the stator (114) of the first wheel (102) whereby the frame (106) is pivotable relative to the first wheel (102) for folding the bicycle (100). The frame (106) and the second wheel (104) connected thereto are together so dimensioned and arranged to fit within the open centre (108) of the first wheel (102) in the folded configuration of the bicycle (100).
CONVERTIBLE BICYCLE TRAILER/TRANSPORT UNIT
A bicycle trailer is disclosed which can be reconfigured to act as a bicycle transport unit. When the trailer is in use towed behind a bicycle, its internal volume for receiving items to be transported is too small to accommodate a bicycle, even if the bicycle is broken down into its major parts. In accordance with the invention, the trailer has an internal frame (1 to 7), parts of which can be telescopically arranged in others to enable the frame to be enlarged or reduced in size, and an external shell (35, 36, 40) with foldable sections. The base of the frame (1) may have wheels (15, 17) enabling it to be rolled along when used as a carrying case. The trailer wheels (11) may be detachably mounted to either side of the frame base (1). A towbar (20) may be detachably fixed to the frame base (1).
Protector
A universal protector for a bicycle element made up of a shell for protecting the element and a fastener for fastening the shell to the element in which the shell includes a size adapting and adjusting structure to accommodate bicycle elements of different sizes thereby protecting the bicycle and vehicles during transport.
BICYCLE PACKAGING
Example aspects of a bicycle packaging and a method for assembling a bicycle packaging are disclosed. The bicycle packaging can comprise a first packaging body comprising a primary fastener and a secondary mating fastener; and a second packaging body comprising a secondary fastener and a primary mating fastener, the first packaging body and second packaging body defining a void, the primary fastener engaging the primary mating fastener, and the secondary fastener engaging the secondary mating fastener.
BICYCLE PACKAGING
Example aspects of a method for using a bicycle packaging are disclosed. The method for using a bicycle packaging can comprise attaching a first packaging body to a second packaging body to define a void comprising an open end; inserting a bicycle into the void; abutting a first top panel of the first packaging body against a second top panel of the second packaging body to cover the open end; and engaging a primary fastener of the first top panel with a primary mating fastener of the second top panel.
Bicycle rack, single bicycle rack and bicycle rack system
A bicycle transport packaging which is in particular suitable for shipping bicycles includes a base body. The base body having four sides arranged all around. Two mutually opposite sides, i.e. an upper side and a lower side of the base body are open. For transport purposes, they are respectively closed by a separate cover element and a separate bottom element. According to the invention, in the area of the cover element a reinforcing element extending in particular over the overall length and width of the cover opening is provided.
PACKAGING SYSTEM FOR A BICYCLE
A packaging system for a bicycle, the packaging system including a base tray having a first tab, a second tab located opposite the first tab, a first side extending between the first tab and the second tab, and a second side extending between the first tab and the second tab and located opposite the first side. The packaging system further includes a first vertical tower having a first aperture configured to receive the first tab of the base tray to interlock the first vertical tower to the base tray at the first end, a second vertical tower having a second aperture configured to receive the second tab of the base tray to interlock the second vertical tower to the base tray at the second end, and an outer carton configured to surround and interlock with the base tray, the first vertical tower, and the second vertical tower.
Bag for protection and transport of bicycles
A bicycle bag for storage and transport of a bicycle, the bag comprising a protective frame which comprises a rigid longitudinal bottom frame, a substantially vertical front and rear frame extending upwards from the longitudinal ends of the bottom frame, and a detachable top frame extending between upper ends of the front and rear frames. The frame defines a protective cavity arranged to accommodate the bicycle, and further comprises a bicycle support for fastening of the bicycle to the bottom frame, and a flexible cover configured to enclose the protective frame. The vertical frame parts are hinged to be folded when collapsing the bag for storage.
AN APPARATUS FOR STORING TWO WHEELED VEHICLES
An apparatus for storing a two wheeled vehicle (e.g. a bicycle, electric bicycle or motorcycle etc) having: a housing adapted to receive a two wheeled vehicle and having a door connected to it at one end which is movable between a closed configuration and an open configuration; at least one base support for a two wheeled vehicle; and at least one wheel securing means; the apparatus adapted such that when in use a user is able to open the door and push a two wheeled vehicle into the housing such that the base support receives, guides and engages parts of the wheels of the vehicle and the wheel securing means engages and secures part of a wheel with the result that the vehicle is securely held upright during storage in the apparatus.
Bicycle transport case
A bicycle transport case includes a container adapted to be opened and closed. The container includes a first outer side and a second outer side and has a chamber for receiving a bicycle frame defined by interior sides of the first and second outer sides. A retaining device configured to retain the bicycle frame at various angular orientations is pivotally and detachably connected to the container. The retaining device includes a main guide rail pivotally connected to the container about an axis and at least one retaining stand for retaining the bicycle frame movably mounted on the main guide rail and adapted to be locked in various positions on the main guide rail.
