The fishing hook holder comprises a base, a plurality of slats spaced apart from each other disposed on a first side of the base, a gap formed between adjacent slats of the plurality of slats, and a biasing element disposed proximate to the plurality of slats. A backstop is disposed proximate to the biasing element. The fishing hook holder comprises a cover positioned above the biasing element and in attachment with the first side of the base. The fishing hook holder further comprises a sharp edge for cutting an object. A portion of a fishing hook is sandwiched by at least one resilient element and an interior portion of a third side opening, and a barb on the fishing hook is received by a fourth side opening on a fourth side of the base.
